I got this as part of my project to make my bedroom look less like a data center. I have been buying Planet Ethernet switches that can mount on a DIN rail from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DMN9YYK/). In order to keep the networking gear out of site, I cut down a couple of these rails and mounted them on the inside of the legs of my desk. I can hand the switches on them and they are not visible unless you look under the desk.Since they have slots all along the length, you can also bolt things to it, like the mounting brackets for small, fanless computers.They are strong, but very lightweight. I highly recommend them.

This worked great for me. It has lots of holes so getting it lined up was easy. It is slim, but sturdy. It also cuts very easily. Loving it because it made my DIY project very easy.
