実店舗でサイズ違いを試し履きしてから27.0cmを購入。店舗で測定した足の実サイズは左が25.3cm、右が25.0cm。ランニングシューズは26.5cm、トレッキングシューズは主に27.0cmを履いている。ただ甲が低く幅はDか1Eと狭いのでなかなかフィットする靴が見つからない。狭めと言われるマムートもサロモンもワンサイズ落として履いている。この靴は27.0cmだが、いつも使っているマムートのサプエンハイ26.5cmよりも幅は狭く、長さは僅かに短め。インソールをシダスのアウトドアに替え、中厚手のソックスを履いてジャストフィット。幅・甲はピッタリで足指もちゃんとグーパーできる。履き口の後ろがネオプレーン素材で膝を曲げてもアキレス腱にフィットし、砂などが入りにくい。ミシュランのソールは初めてだが、ソールのつま先と踵を持って力いっぱい捩じってもまったくねじれないほどガッチリしている。購入後六甲へ日帰り登山に出かけたが、ミシュランソールのグリップは落ち葉の上でも岩場でもまったく問題なく、4〜5時間ほど履いても違和感や当たりが気になるところは特になかった。今セールで安くなっているので、幅狭甲低の足の人にはぜひお勧めしたい。

Guter Halt und gute Stabilität und Trittsicherheit durch eng anliegenden Schnitt, die Sohle ist fest aber nicht steigeisenfest. Laufen sich gut und ermüdungsfrei. Nicht komplett wasserdicht aber ausreichend atmungsaktiv. Material und Verarbeitung erscheinen robust. Nur das Anziehen ist mühsam und dauert. Unterm Strich trotzdem empfehlenswert.

The boot is fantastic on many aspects. Great quality of material, good fit although it's Garmont's usual small fit, so prepare to size up. The boots also have by far one of the best soles in the market, which is a fine balance of ruggedization, stiffness and ability to absorb impact on the ground. Really great!What I didn't like though is the Achille's tendon protection. Where the leather part of the heel stops, an elastic soft cover for the ankle starts. That is like a gaiter that keeps any dust or stones outside. However, the leather part of the heel, penetrates the tendon, especially when the laces are a bit tighter, as there is no padding at the point where the leather stops and the elastic band starts. The elastic band somehow is an extension and the boot feels as if it doesn't have any protection there. After walking for some time it becomes really annoying and you have to loosen the laces, which then hinders the advantages of the boots.Finally, when worn, the inner part of the left boot feels like it protrudes compared to the right boot. As if it isn't flat enough ending up pressing the outer part of the foot. I have tried at least five different pairs from different sellers and they were all like that. Of course that may depend on each person's foot shape, so give it some time trying it at home.

堅固、軽量で、信頼できる靴だ。道なき道、荒れたルートでの酷使に耐えられる靴だ。ガルモントの靴は信頼性が高い。２０年前にガルモントの厳冬期用の靴を買ったが、堅牢で軽いので気に入っている。革が固いので慣れるまでは、若干履きにくいかもしれないが、革はいずれ足になじんでくる。初心者でももちろん使えるが、いかにも経験者か好みそうなタイプの靴だ。街中でも履けるトレッキングシューズはソールのゴムが柔らかい。整備された登山道では柔らかいゴム底が快適だが、荒れたルートではソールの摩耗が早い。岩場向きのトレッキングシューズのソールは岩場でのグリップ力が高いが、これも岩くずだらけの荒れた登山道では摩耗が早い。多くの登山靴で使用されているビブラムのゴムは固く、摩耗しにくいが、グリップ力は並みだ（悪くはないが）。それらに較べれば、この靴のミシュランのゴムは堅牢さとグリップ力がある。金さえ出せば良い靴はいくらでもあるが、この靴の価格とこの軽さでこの性能を実現したことに感心した。自分の足のよりも大きいサイズが必要。私の場合は、自分の足よりも１センチ大きい靴でちょうどよかった。靴の幅が小さめな感じがする。

The construction quality and weight of the Vetta Tech boots I ordered is very good but the sizing is difficult. This is the second pair of Garmont boots I have have returned due to width issues. As with other Garmont boots I have ordered, I ordered the Vetta Tech's 1/2 size larger than most other boots or shoes I wear. The length was fine, unfortunately the width was too narrow. The maximum width was 1/2 centimeter narrower than another pair of same size Garmont boots that I own.

Der Schuh ist unangenehm zu tragen. Ist ja immerhin kein Billig-Sneaker, sondern ein Wanderschuh, in dem man Tage verbringen können muss. Ich kann mir aber nicht mal vorstellen, länger als 2 Stunden darin herumzulaufen ohne dass Schlimmeres passiert. Leider brauchte es einige Zeit Fußmarsch, um das zu realisieren.Meine Ferse hat rückseitig keinen Kontakt zum Schuh, das hab ich so jetzt auch noch nicht erlebt. Aber naja, das geht ja noch.Dann, mag sein ich bin empfindlich am Knöchel, aber da sind Nähte, wo keine hingehören, Ecken und Kanten, die überhaupt keinen Sinn machen, vor allem nicht bei solch einem Verwendungszweck. Hatte schon etliche Wanderstiefel, Sicherheitsstiefel, aber so extrem war das nie. Oder sagen wir: so dämlich war das nie. Das Ding drückt und zwickt und scheuert an gleich mehreren Stellen. Dachte es läuft sich ein oder ich gewöhne mich daran, aber Pustekuchen. Nach 4 Monaten gebe ich jetzt auf. Die Schuhe kommen in die Spende.Positiv: Die Sohle. Ich hatte bisher immer Vibram, aber die hier taugt im Gelände durchaus etwas! Der Rest vom Schuh wie gesagt meinem Empfinden nach nicht.
