Brought back memories of how a really l;ow budget film can be moderately successful and spawn a sequel

I Grew up watching this film and i still love it after all these years, the sequel is better thou in terms of the film makingcause the producers had more money to spend on production second time aroundi have read other reviews from people on this listing, there are some positive reviews from people who enjoy the filmand of course other reviews from people who think this film is the worst and a waste of timethat's fine with me, everyone has opinions and different tastes of movies no doubt about that.this film is only suitable for fans of the Horror/vampire Genre and Low budget 70's films that's it, you either Like it, Love it or can't stand the filmand if your not a fan of the Horror Genre or 70's low budget films like this one then your not going to understand it and you'll think it's terribleas i said i Grew up watching this film and every time i've seen it especially when this film was released on MGM DVD about 12 years ago nowi have understood the film every time i watch itcause the film is Low budget gives the film an errie atmospheric quality which makes it scary and also the Acting is very Good aswellbeing a 70's film/released in theaters 1970 to be exact so it's 1969-1970 made filmthe fashion of course is out dated but the plot of the film and the way the film was made gives it a very atmospheric thriller vibeRobert quarry steals the show and so does some of the other actor/actress'ssome of the scenes are very creepy and well acted especially the scenes with the Vampire women, there's no Dialogue in that scene at all but is still chillingas i said this film is strictly low budget 70's film making so if your not interested in that style of film don't bother buying this DVDit probably would be a waste of time and moneybut for those who are fans of this film or are curious just to check it outthen this 2001 MGM DVD release is the best available version you'll get, the picture and audio quality is better than the VHS version of coursesome effort by MGM did get put into enhancing the picture and audio quality no doubt about itand it's in widescreen format which makes the picture look even better in my opinionvery unfortunate there are no extras/special features at all except for Theatrical traileri thought there would have been at least and audio commentary by Robert Quarry who passed away back in 2009and the Director Bob Kelijan passed away about 20 years ago nowso Robert quarry could've done a commentary for this film for the fans or even a interview at least for this dvd releasethis film deserves a Robert quarry interview or commentary track at leastbut he's passed away now so of course it's too lateBut apart from that there is no dvd reissue coming at this stage or a blu-ray reissueso this MGM DVD release is the only dvd version available and you can still buy it off amazon.

First class vampire movie surprised its not mentioned more, creepy atmosphere Robert Quarry good as any male vampire I've seen sexy female vampires indulging in blood feast after bringing down one of the 'good guys' - nice to see the sodding crucifix or cross doesn't always work - unusual ending my side (that's the vampires) win for a change.
