A great piece of kit, shame I didn’t have enough bolts to complete the built at the top. Need to be a handy builder too as instructions are virtually non existant.

Man musste schon genau hinschauen. Muss man erst mal drauf kommen.

I ordered this rack due to the Covid-19 outbreak with my gym closing down. I also made the decision based on the good reviews that it already had for sturdiness, assembly and all around quality. My goal was to find a cheap, but sturdy squat rack so I could continue my powerlifting program. I ordered the item in late March and received it in the middle of April (which was expected due to the circumstances). So I waited patiently, and it finally arrived. I was very excited to open the package and assemble immediately as I hadn’t squatted in a couple of weeks. The first thing I noticed was no directions, but a single photo diagram of how to assemble. This was no problem for me as there wasn’t much to assemble anyways. When I began putting it together, I observed the hardware (screws and nuts) to not be the correct sizes. The nuts did not fit over the screws, thus I could not secure the rack together. At that point, I was very disappointed because of the time I waited for it. I decided to go to Home Depot the next morning to get proper hardware, which cured the issue. I then assembled the rack properly, and it lived up to the sturdiness reviews. It did not wobble, shake or tip when I was racking weight on it. Very good item. The next morning, I contacted customer service to advise of my findings. This was probably the best part of the product; The care that the Customer service team gave to me, especially during a pandemic. They refunded me the money for the hardware that I had to go buy, and gave a very sincere apology. I would definitely purchase another product from this company knowing that if it comes defective, the issue will be remedied.

I am taking my first steps in building a home gym and I've begun participating in some fitness challenges involving weight lifting and pull-ups. Initially, I was going to get something cheaper (around the $100.00 range). But after seeing this one and considering it, I decided to spend the extra money. I'm really glad I did. The size is perfect for a basement workout space without tall ceilings.Delivery: I received this within 5 days of ordering. It was packaged well, all parts included and no product damage.Assembly: I assembled this by myself and I think it took about 2 - 2.5 hours (I had to stop and feed the dog and didn't really time assembly specifically). The directions are clear enough, especially when coupled with the manufacturer's online video. My knowledge of tools is very basic. I can pretty much figure out how to use something, but it takes me a little while and I don't really know the names. I finally realized that I needed to use both tools (wrenches? sockets?) for tightening the bolts at one time. One to hold the bolt still and the other to tighten the nut.My second mistake was in putting on the pull-up bars. I put the smaller one one first and was initially only going to use that one. After putting it on, and tightening up all bolts, I decided to put on the larger one for band use and a TRX anchor. It was impossible to get it on! I got it wedged in, but the yellow arms were so solid and tight, I couldn't get it to line up with the wholes and the ends of it stuck out awkardly. At this point I couldn't do anything with it but let it stay wedged were it was (I even tried to use oil as a lubricant). I then remembered another review that said to install the pull-up bars before tightening everything. Duh. I then also realized that I didn't install the black plates on the outside of the yellow arms for the smaller pull up bar. I didn't want to risk a poor assembly job for safety's sake. I decided to take off the smaller pull up bar to put on all 4 plates for it and this allowed me to install the larger pull up bar!Size: I think the size is great and fits neatly into its designated space. The dip handles are a little narrow but it works for me.Look: impressive! I have a real piece of home gym equipment!Use: I used it for the first time this morning for deadlifts and jumping pull ups. I felt safe and secure for all of my movements. No rocking on the jumping pull ups.Note: I have a cheapy barbell set that I brought from a now closed chain fitness store. The wholes in the plates are too small to fit on the plate holders at the back of the rack. And, my bar is really too short. I can't push the plate all the way on and get the bar to fit on the rack. I can live with it as soon I'll have to buy more plates for heavier lifting. If you're looking for a moderately priced rack, I recommend this one.
