Ich bin im Webinterface und werde nach einem Passwort gefragt. In der Anleitung nirgendwo das Initialpasswort das man eingeben sollte. Daher geht das Gerät nun zurück. Ich kann es nicht in Betrieb nehmen. Eine Registrierung beim Hersteller lehne ich ab.

There is a lot of complaints about needing to sign up to use the full features of this product, but this is a sign of the times with all major manufactures doing a similar thing. I recommend you view it as a “warranty registration” because it has a similar impact on product usage (i.e. none). You can run this behind a firewall or as part of an isolated network without issue or hinderance.So - the product??I’ll admit this is my first managed switch & it has more features than I know what to do with, but it works well and the GUI is both helpful and responsive.I’ll remind any potential buyer that there is a model with 10 RJ45s, opposed to the one i bought - but the 2 SFP ports give options to upgrade to fibre (which will cost about £20).Out of the box, its a plug and play switch. Although as a straight 8 port switch, its rather costly. That said it’s far more than that; assuming you know (of a willing to learn) how to get the most from it.Regards power usage - there are options to turn off the POE, and also specific ports, as well as auto-enable/disable ports. Although my initial investigation of these option didn’t work as expected (i blame myself, and have since downloaded the manual - the online help isn’t great!)Hope this helps somebody....

Schrott, Finger weg!Man muss das Teil mit dem Internet verbinden, um überhaupt die "smart"-Funktionen nutzen zu können. Hier stimmt die Aussage, früher war alles besser. Definitiv mein letzter Switch von diesem durchgedrehten Hersteller!

das sah ersteinmal sehr gut aus. Für den Preis ein managebarer PoE Switch mit SFP+ Ports. Allerdings lassen sich die Management Funktionen nur vollständig nutzen, wenn der Switch bei der Inbetriebnahme einen Internetzugang hat und man ihn bei einem MyNETGEAR Account registriert. Mann muß sich dann entscheiden ob er per Cloud oder offline gemanaged wird. Erst dann sind alle Funktionen verfügbar.Also ohne Internet - kein Management.Hätte ich ihn nicht dringend gebraucht, wäre er auf jeden Fall zurück gegangen!

Das Produkt als solches ist richtig gut und das Interface ist wirklich toll!-Leider summt bzw. piepst das Gerät permanent in einer sehr hellen Tonlage! Auf Dauer unerträglich!

Ho dovuto acquistarlo d'emergenza perchè nel mio ufficio si era rotto il vecchio switch, quindi ho puntato su questo che aveva il giusto numero di porte e 190W di potenza per alimentare 5 AP sparsi nel palazzo. Attualmente non ho riscontrato problemi o cali di tensione sulle antenne, forse il rapporto prezzo/numero porte non è il massimo, ma considerando i 190W di potenza mi sento abbastanza sicuro di poter attaccare in futuro se servirà altre 2 antenne.All'interno della confezione avrete il cavo di alimentazione con presa juko e due staffe laterali da montare in caso di assemblaggio su armadietto rack, il resto solo un piccolo manuale e niente più.Installazione semplice, almeno nel mio caso, una volta collegato il cavo LAN che porta la connessione, ho collegato gli altri cavi delle antenne (già pre-configurate) e il gioco è fatto.Consigliato!
