I got this to try to solve a damp problem behind some kitchen cabinets. Even though it is really for a roof of a caravan or van so should be flat, I have mounted it vertically in place of a static vent on my external kitchen wall. Even in limited sun it charges and seems to run all day (not sure how long the batteries last over night). It's strong enough to create an active flow of air our from behind my kitchen units to the outside. Within a couple of weeks the damp smell in my cupboards has gone and it's costing me nothing to run. I wasn't sure when I decided to fit it how good it would be, but it really is a superb little fan. Also comes with a different blade which can be switched out to draw air in rather than expel out.

Bought this for my campervan. It worked for a while. Then stopped, and would then work intermittently. With the reset button being only accessible from the inside, and through a mesh netting, I had to try and use a wooden skewer to try to reset the button, which was a very hit & miss affair. Overall, a pretty expensive hole in my campervan’s bathroom ceiling

Es stellt sich leider heraus, dass einer der beiden gekauften Lüfter Wasser ein lässt und auch nicht vernünftig anläuft. Zudem Laufen die Lüfter sehr geräuschvoll. Ich kann nur vom Kauf abraten. Es handelt sich um keine gute Qualität.Dafür sind die fast 70 € zu viel Geld.Mit den Geräuschen könnte ich ja noch leben, da man die Lüfter zur Not ausschalten kann, aber mit dem Wassereinbruch kann ich nicht leben da dies zu Folgeschäden führt. So kann ich eine grade neu angebrachte Deckenverkleidung auf Grund des Wasserschadens nochmals erneuern. Der Einbau des Lüfters wurde von einem Bootsbau Fachmann durchgeführt.Eine Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Lieferanten scheint gar nicht möglich zu sein. Man sollte doch eben nicht alles im Internet kaufen. Beim Händler vor Ort hat man zumindest einen Ansprechpartner.

I bought this Stainless steel solar vent for my dad's boat around August 2008. When it came, the internal fan motor was out of balance, so it was making noise unless you hold/mount it at a certain angle. Since I did not have time to send it back and wait for replacement, I decided to go with it and mounted it on my dad's boat by carefully adjusting the angle of it so it worked without making noise.But after 4 months, it simply stopped working. For 120 something dollars, it should be much more sturdy.Also the manual is horrible. For the battery installation/replacement, remove the led light and you will see a thin white foam sheet cover. Remove that, and you will see two tiny screws. You have to remove them and then you can remove the battery cover. Even though I am a very technical person, it took me a long while to figure that out since my manual only said to use a dime to open it through a small notch.Anyway, if you really need a powered went, this is best looking one but build quality is not very good. Now I have to remove it from the boat and have to install a porthole window to cover the 10" opening.I will update this comment once I contact and get further info about the warranty process, if there is any.
