I'd recommend having a proper look at the manual to get your head around all the functions. The 'Best Tune' feature is brilliant - makes finding your favourite stations an absolute breeze!I must say, I'm proper impressed with this little beauty! While it won't exactly rattle the windows when you turn it up full blast, it does exactly what it says on the tin. My kids have been having a whale of a time with it in the garden, dancing about like nobody's watching! The battery seems to go on forever, and the USB-C charging is a right treat - no more faffing about with different cables.The display's really smart and clear as day. Being a radio, you might miss some of those deeper bass notes you'd get from bigger speakers, but for its size, you can tell it's quality kit. Just what you'd expect from Sharp, really. If you're after a proper radio that doesn't skimp on quality, this compact little number is well worth considering. Bloody good value for money, if you ask me!

Sharp was back in the day a very well-known brand, but in recent years they have disappeared from Home Electronics at least to me, so when I had the chance to request the DAB/FM Radio I did...I have requested a good few similar DAB radios but not at this price point more around £30/40 range and have been impressed by many especially when I connect them to one of my Bluetooth speakers using a cable from the headphone port on the radio to AUX on my speaker...The first thing that struck was how small the radio is,it is tiny.#My first piece of advice make sure you use the user manual to guide you through the setup of the radio because I just powered it up and found it needed charging, and that setup requires guidance via the manual...Once I had charged up the battery, and switched the radio on for the first time it asked you to set the time, but then it automatically set the correct time and date...The radio boasts a setting called Best Tune which automatically sorts out the best reception of a station that's broadcast in both FM and DAB but that is basically only the BBC most if not all commercial stations are DAB only...In all, it tuned in 93 stations whether DAB or FM it just shows the best signal for any given station, as I said the manual is a must-read as you set the radio up its not the most straightforward without that manual...You can store 40 presets again the manual will guide you through the procedure...You can also just scroll through the A-Z list of stations shown on the small but crisp and clear screen...There really is a lot of information on how to get the best from the radio and for the last time the manual is a must-read.All the 93 stations come in crisp and clear with the aerial fully extended, now I say 93 but you may get more or less it depends on what's available in your area and how good a signal is available in your area .Now to the radio and my verdict.Even when you set the volume to its maximum setting of 32 it is not that loud, but it is very crisp and detailed with both music and speech,the build quality is excellent,and the battery takes 4 hour to fully charge and will give up to 12 hours play at 50% volume which is not visible as that is much to low a setting, but you have the option of using earphones or use that headphone jack and connect it to an external speaker, I connected it to my Bose Soundlink Max and Harman Kardan and it sounded fantastic through both...You can also use the radio as a Bluetooth speaker I wouldn't but it can.Now this radio costs £70 and compared with those other DABs I have is it worth twice the price, no but it depends if you value better sound and functions albeit a slightly complicated initial setup(the manual is a must-read).

Very simple to use, almost zero setup other than an initial quick scan for channels.I like how it blends FM and DAB into one list; you can disable that, but the best tune system is actually very useful in my testing. I much prefer it.The screen is very bright and easy to read; I like how it loads song titles and artwork for the stations.The unit is very compact and lightweight, would fit in a pocket or a backpack, and you'd barely notice. It’s perfect for caravans or yachting too, small and doesn't have a big power draw.It also has a carry handle and can be used with headphones if you prefer.It also has its own battery, which is USB-C rechargeable. Seems to last a very long time.The reception was excellent with its large antenna; compared to other radios, the quality was excellent. The speaker in this is quite small, and the output is low; however, the sound quality is good and even has some bass. I couldn't figure out how to set the EQ, but since it's small and mono, I doubt it would make too much difference.It is quite expensive compared to budget options you can get; however, the brand is well respected, and this feels premium. Very easy to use compared to the other budget options I have!

This is smaller than expected, is very well made and comes with an instruction manual, so it forced to go online and download something.Operation is simple, the screen is very nice, but best of all, the sound quality is superb. Even at max volume it is crystal clear with no distortion whatsoever.Sharp is a reputable brand, and everything about this says quality.Power is either via USB C or via the internal lithium ion battery, all supplied.
