I will try to follow up with a video demonstration, but honestly I got this to keep at my office because I work in the distribution industry and we are pretty strict on taking video on the premises so I don't know for sure when it will be a good time to take a video. That said, it is very good when it comes to reading barcodes with scratches, and for my purposes the most important thing it is also good at is reading barcodes off a screen / monitor. It took me a little while to figure out all the different mode settings, but the built-in display definitely helps. I haven't really tried the scan memory function because I typically just connect to my laptop via Bluetooth, but I could definitely see how that might come in handy down the road. The battery life is pretty darn good because I was out in the warehouse for at least 4 hours and had it on the whole time with plenty of battery remaining. The other very impressive part about this scanner is the distance at which it can read a standard barcode label, but I will say that it did the best when there was a clear line of sight and actually performed better on QR codes and when trying to scan a standard barcode displayed on a monitor it had to be done at a closer distance to get a consistent read.No matter what, this definitely perform better than the crummy scanners that my company was trying to provide as a mobile option so I am very happy with this product, and my co-workers are jealous lol.

Very easy to figure out, even though you have to kind of put together what the "users manual" wants you to do because it doesn't t tell you anything, but is just a list of barcodes with descriptions of what they make the scanner do.The screen is very accessible, and if you want to use it, it works well. Given the chance to buy it again I would go with the version that has no screen because once you get it set for your purposes it basically just stays there, and you can get it set the way you want it just fine without the screen. It is good to see what you have scanned read out on the screen, but if you have the read out on a computer screen you'll really never use it.In my application I have to scan two barcodes back to back that are relatively close together. You just can't predict which one it's going to scan without covering up one of the other barcodes. I've tried coming in at different angles, etc and it's just not great with differentiating. Now, for one barcode... AMAZING. You could crumple the barcode up, fold it, have the corner ripped, and it seems like it would read just about anything. Really impressive for the money.Battery life is absolutely great. I'll use it a whole day on a charge no problem.Bluetooth connects very quickly and with no problems.I'm going to continue using this in contexts where I have a stand alone barcode reader. Because it is a workhorse that is reliable as all get out. In my warehouse where I have to differentiate between close-together barcodes I'm going another direction.

I have been using this scanner to scan all types of barcodes. This scan has been very handy and useful for scanning regular barcodes. I also like that this scanner can scan barcodes from a computer screen.I am impressed on how easy this scanner was to setup and install. I am using this scanner via USB port on my computer. I am using Windows 10 operating system and the scanner was recognized and the drivers were automatically installed.I am happy with this scanner because it can read a wide variety of different types of barcodes. This scanner has lots of options and settings and they can all be accessed via the on device screen. The only thing I wasn't able to configure was the correct timezone. The very bright white LED light is great and also has a rectangular red light for precise scanning of regular barcodes. The scanner has is configurable for when it turns off to save power. I have mine set to 30 seconds to have the best battery life. You will have to pull the trigger to turn the power back on, but this is extremely fast.I really like that the barcode scanner charges on the cradle. It's great that the USB cable runs underneath the cradle. The only thing that is missing is a screw hole for wall mounted options.

I've reviewed quite a few 2D barcode / qr code scanners, from this and other brands comprising a generation of relatively inexpensive, accessible devices. As far as scanning barcodes and qr codes - they seem to have identical, or nearly identical capabilities, to the point that I suspect they all use the same firmware, and I'm virtually certain that all of the models issued by each brand use the same firmware. So I'm going to focus on what's NOT the same ...This one uses the base as the antenna … and the base is connected to the PC via USB. There is no dongle. So, on the one hand, there's no escaping this big klunky base (without going wired) … but on the other, there's no worry about losing the tiny dongle. Since the base keeps it charged, I think I prefer this setup to one with an easily lost dongle. This one has a display on board! It'll show the contents of the code when scanned, whether or not you're connected to a PC/device. That's handy for a couple of my use cases - I use QR codes to store certain sensitive data, and with this I can read them without relaying them to my phone. I also use QR codes to label many, many bins of small parts - with this, I can streamline label creation (no need for human readable text), and see immediately what's in the bin by scanning (then use my phone to open the included URL for more info).Outside of curiosity, an obsession with barcodes/qr codes, and unusual edge cases, I can see one use case for this scanner that makes it stand out in its class: you can easily change the configuration without the manual. The scanners are generally highly configurable - and the configuration is done using the user manual, which is full of QR codes, e.g. scan this code to enter pairing mode, scan that code to add CRLF to each scanned code, and so forth. Some of the most often changed configuration settings can be done via the display and buttons. So if you want to switch from PC to Phone to Storage Mode frequently ... you can do so without having the manual (or copies of those codes), the display will let you do that quickly and simply.I'd recommend this product readily to anyone needing a barcode/qr code scanner.

This is an excellent scanner for 1D and 2D barcodes. This one is black with green highlights, but it’s available in multiple colours. The scanner connects to a PC, phone, etc. over Bluetooth, a 2.4 GHz wireless connection via a USB stand or a direct connection via a USB cable. It's easy to configure with any of the three. It comes with detailed manuals in both English and Spanish. The manual contains barcodes for configuring the device, including pairing, sound/vibration, ambient lighting, sleep, various language and translation options, transmission speed, displaying the battery status and much more. In contrast to most other barcode scanners I’ve used, this one allows many of the settings to be changed without the manual, using the buttons and the display on the device.I tried the scanner with 1D and 2D barcodes, including product and shipping labels, PDF417 codes and QR codes, all of which worked fine. In contrast to some other scanners I’ve used, barcodes on brown cardboard scanned immediately, just like codes on white paper. All of the input appears as if it’s being typed by a keyboard, which is how the scanner represents itself to the device it’s connected to, although there are multiple options for Bluetooth. The default transmission speed over 2.4 GHz is very fast. This scanner supports 2D codes, but instead of using a red box at the centre of the red light to target the barcode, it uses a horizontal bar. It’s intermediate between the box I’ve seen on other 2D scanners and the horizontal line typical of 1D scanners. It seems to be the best of both worlds, and works very well for targeting both 1D and 2D barcodes. The ambient white light is on by default, but can be disabled with a barcode in the manual. The stand holds the scanner in a horizontal position, whilst also charging it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t provide a way to hold the scanner in a vertical position, e.g., for use with the continuous scanning or sensor-activated modes. The sensor-activated mode works well, but the scanner is not particularly stable standing vertically, so it would require setting up something to hold it in placeThe display is informative, showing the number of stored codes, the total number of codes scanned, the battery status, the signal strength and the time. As noted above, it can also be used with the three buttons below it, to change many of the settings. The scanner is small and light, relative to some others, but the handle is simply plastic, which I find less comfortable to hold than more ergonomic, rubberised handles on some other scanners. It may also be less durable, e.g., if dropped, but that’s only a guess, based on the appearance. The documentation is very good, and the support QR code goes to a professional-looking website with U.S.-based contact information (physical address, East and West Coast telephone numbers), along with e-mail addresses. One minor issue is that the time sync utility, which is required to set the time on the scanner, isn’t included, and requires contacting customer service. That’s preferable to some others, which provide links to dubious sites in China (e.g., file sharing services), but a code to link to a download on a U.S. website with a digital signature confirming its authenticity would be the better solution.Overall, I can certainly recommend this barcode scanner.
