The droppers allow you to dispense tiny amounts to reduce wastage.The brush supplied is for drywork so you will need some fine detail brushes if you are just starting off. In the box is a helpful guide. If you are considering painting figures as a hobby, then the Army Painter produces good quality products with finishes that will last.

Ich bemale mit Army-Painter-Produkten schon seit einiger Zeit Figuren. Das hier rezensierte Set eignet sich recht gut als "Starterset", wobei ich sagen muss, dass die beigefügten Farben vom Spektrum her schon recht speziell sind und bei einem selbst irgendwie "in den Plan passen" müssen, wenn man sich nun unbedingt dieses Set hier zulegen möchte. Die beiliegenden Hexenminiatur ist natürlich ein Kaufargument aus Sicht des "Startersets" und man kann mit etwas Wohlwollen auch die "Wilderness Adventures" in den Farben erkennen, aber ... naja ... im Endeffekt sind die Farben wie "Gnoll-Rotze" (frei übersetzt) halt vermutlich auch eher speziellen Nutzungsszenarios zugeneigt. Naja.Enthalten sind übrigens zwar 20 Flaschen zu 12 ml, aber nur 15 sind "normale" Farben. Es kommen zwei "Metallic"-Farben und zwei "Washes" hinzu sowie die "Cauldron Ooze"-Effekt-Farbe. Gerade bei letzteren sinkt doch die Nützlichkeit ins Bodenlose, wenn man nicht gerade sowieso an einem Projekt mit ähnlichen Farben arbeitet. Für manche Orks in meinem Portfolio ergab das noch Sinn, aber ansonsten ... mhhm.Was sicherlich etwas irritierend wirkt, ist, dass hier überhaupt eine Figur enthalten ist. Genau genommen ist das hier ja von der Aufmachung her definitiv ein "Starterset", aber es ist im Endeffekt doch keines, wenn man es dann mal näher betrachtet und sich mal fragt "hm, so wirklich das ganze Farbspektrum abdeckt hat man da nicht, oder?". Eben: Hat man nicht. Es ist nämlich so, dass das Set hier leider offiziell eine "Erweiterung" ist. Das macht es nicht besser oder schlechter, aber die Einordnung wird eben besser. Doch kein "richtiges" Starterset, nicht wahr? Sondern eben ein Starterset 2, das man zum Starterset dazu ... ach, ich gebe es auf, Army Painter da verstehen zu wollen ...Für den geneigten Käufer ganz wichtig: Die qualitativ immer über jeden Zweifel erhabenen Farben sind natürlich auch hier über jeden Zweifel erhaben und wenn man die Idee hat, dass man mit dem Farben was anfangen kann, dann ist das Set hier auch "guter Kauf". Für die Miniatur würde ich allerdings nicht zu dem Set greifen.Fazit:4 Sterne wären eigentlich drin für ein als Starterset daher kommendes Erweiterungsset, das beim zweiten und dritten Blick dann doch wieder wie ein Starterset mit merkwürdigen Farben wirkt. Als hätte jemand nicht ganz gewusst, was da verkauft werden soll. Passiert bei Army Painter durchaus mal und ist offensichtlich nicht böse gemeint, sondern nerdig, einfach nur nerdig. Ich vergebe hier insgesamt 5 Sterne, weil mir die Farben wirklich gut ins Konzept gepasst haben und ich inzwischen sogar für den "Ooze" einen Einsatz gefunden habe. Der sieht nämlich sehr nekromantisch aus. ^^
