Flowers are listed by scientific name and need to be found in the list of common names in the back to locate in the book, which is actually functional and thorough, but added a layer of time to my project. Other than that, this is the best reference book on this particular subject I've found, and I have about ten sources from the original translated french texts, library scans of original victorian tomes, and modern books to playing cards and online collections. An excellent and meticulous collection of helpful references for the flower language lover! I was delighted and surprised at the sheer mass of info and how well it's organized. Get this one for sure!

Je ne m’attendais pas à ça mais ce livre et encore mieux que ce que j’imaginais. Les illustrations sont très belles et le livre ne décris pas seulement les fleurs (ce que je pensais) mais aussi les fruits ou plus largement, les plantes dans leur ensemble.

Lo compre para mi prometida como regalo del día del florista, y le encantó, las ilustraciones son muy bonitas, tienen una gran variedad de especímenes, con información muy concreta y digerible, gran opción para los amantes de las flores.

Exceptionally well presented book with details about just about every flower anyone could ever think of.Covering folklore and symbolic meanings, and potential powers, including details of spiritual powers.I really can't recommend this book enough to anyone who is interested in the more spiritual aspect of flowers - apart from the Latin names for the flowers, the other names that they are known by are included as well as pictures plus a description.Very very informative. For the amount of information and research that has gone into it, I am surprised that it isn't twice the price. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Es ist ein wirklich sehr schönes Buch. Die Schrift ist recht klein, und das Buch selber auch, aber es ist voll mit schönen Bildern und die ersten Blumensträuße mit Bedeutung wurden schon gebunden.
