For the price this thing is amazing! Raising European Nightcrawlers requires a neutral ph. I’ve used litmus paper, ph/temp/moisture meters and various other probe meters. I did try chemical testers as well, but the pricing didn’t work for the number of bins I keep, even monthly testing wasn’t working well.Along comes this guy. I didn’t expect much for the price, but I was so wrong! This is right on the nose what the chemical tests reads as long as it’s calibrated monthly. Since this is used to test 42 bins weekly it beats the others. Probes are not reliable, but this thing is. Did I mention the price?Since I’m not pushing through anything that’s heavy I don’t bother with the metal sheath. It’s just a matter of sticking it into the bedding, waiting a couple seconds and read the results. Calibrating is just as simple as taking a reading from the bedding. It comes with plenty to last for a good amount of time.The only thing I wish it had was a case, but I’m sure I’ll find something better than the box it came in.Overall I couldn’t be happier with this meter. Between the simplicity of using, quality, small size and…oh, did I mention the price?For anyone who needs an inexpensive but accurate ph meter this thing is the best. I rarely tell others about Amazon purchases, but this has been the exception. I think all worm farmers who are serious about what they are doing should ditch the cheap metal probe meters and get this. It’s crazy how off the others are and how accurate this one is.

This is a very good and accurate probe… Just don’t forget to use The metal tip when you are measuring soil… The tip will not hold up unless you use metal tip when measuring soilAlso, I do not see any good customer service on this

This PH tester is awesome . Very sturdy , strong , and most importantly it is accurate . I sent my soil out for a lab test . The PH results came back at 6.4 . My new home soil tester showed 6.6 . To me that is on . Plus it works as a water PH meter as well . Man this kit is awesome . It came with PH solution and the fluid for the probe for storage when not in use . Was a gift from my wife and man I love it .

I purchased it on June 19, 2024. It appeared to work well the first time I used it.Unfortunately the second time I tried to use it a few months later, it did not work. The reading would not calibrate and was stuck at 7.0.I tried to contact customer service because it came with a 12 month warranty but cannot get a reply.

I didn’t realize this came with a ph chart for all the plants I could need. Super helpful! I planted 3 blueberry bushes and one was doing just awful. I took the ph and it was 4.2! The rest were mid 5s. Next step is to see what I should add to bring that up a bit. Then I went around and tested the ph of all my other spots I want to plant. It’s wild how different it can be just walking around my yard.Super easy to calibrate. Just took a few seconds and no degree required to figure it out. Check your house plants. Check your garden beds. And make sure your plant is living in the proper ph so it can absorb nutrients properly. You’ll love this tool!
