Tough yet comfortable. My favorite 2 point sling yet. The padding helps it from digging in too harshly on long ruck marches.

Easy enough to use. you will need to train and practice with it to be fluid. I like to attach a length of cord to the adjuster of mine to make it easier to grab.

Spitzen Gerät. Verstellung/Einstellung funktioniert ausgezeichnet.

I bought this to use on my 16" DSA FAL carbine, and also a 21" barrel FAL G1. I don't know if you've ever carried one around, or ran drills with one, moving cover to cover and shooting...well, it gets prettyheavy. Attachment to your weapon is by means of the sling passing through your attachment points, then looping to itself and weaving through a couple of slide buckles. The sling itself is easily adjusted to length with a pull tab that is pretty much located midway up on your weak side (that's where mine is anyway). To tighten up the sling, pull down (forward) on the extra sling material. To loosen it up again, pull on the toggle string to release the latch and move your weapon away from you. There are YouTube videos of this to help you out. The padding is very nice, not too thick to be bulky but thick enough to make heavy things comfortable to carry. I had to add a VTAC fixed stock sling attachment so I can carry my weapon in a patrol position without it flopping over, because the FAL only has sling mounts on the bottom.Overall, I really like this sling because of its easy adjustment, nice padding, and excellent quality. If you're in the market for a really nice, high quality 2 point sling for your heavy weapon you should really check this one out.

Great sling. Very similar to the original un-padded VTAC sling. (I own both now.) However, this sling is much longer than my original so it took a while to find the happy spot for length once it was on my AR. I ended up doubling up the webbing and re-running it through the keepers to keep from having a bunch of loose webbing hanging from the sling. I also didn't want to cut the webbing and alter the sling from it's original size.Other than that if functions flawlessly. I use it on my duty SWAT AR in multiple configurations and it does what I ask it to do. If you don't have one on your rifle you should get one. The benefit of having a versatile sling to help 'lock' the weapon in when shooting is second only to having the weapon supported/resting on a fixed object.

I probably own 30 rifle slings, most of them of the 1-point, 2-point and 3-point "tactical" flavor. The "padded" VTAC MK2 is now my personal favorite. I have 8 of them now, 4 black and 4 OD. Once you get used to operating the sling's rather innovative quick-adjustment system, reconfiguring the sling to suite your "here & now" needs is a simple, intuitive process.I'd encourage you to visit the Viking website and view their online demo videos to see how quickly and effectively an operator can transition their firearm to and from various carry positions. The quality and workmanship on these slings are impeccable, with smooth webbing, solid stitching and heavy-duty hardware end-to-end. I happen to like (and use) Viking's Quick Release Extension as well, which enables you to quickly DQ the sling should the situation so require. The VTAC MK2 is now my "standard sling" on shotguns, carbines & rifles. I wish they had something like this "back in the day" when I had to carry M-16s and M-60s for hours and days at a time.Do yourself a favor and try one. You many never use any other sling thereafter.
