Fits my Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W perfectly, the included hardware is perfect for the project case I have, standing off the UPS board about 1/4". The adhesive patch for the LiPo battery (not included) is a nice touch. As mentioned by John in his review, check the plug polarity of your battery against the UPS board (marked in + and -). The battery I bought had the wires reversed to the need of the board. I was able to pull up (gently) on the little white tabs in the photo and pull the wires out of the terminal, then reinserted them in the proper polarity.Double check the seating of the pogo pins before tightening your screws, and when you have it all together, you'll have a nice little battery backed up single board computer.

Purchased this hat with the battery recommended by Amazon and nearly burned it right away because the polarity of the Hat and the battery were reversed. BE CAREFULhttps://www.amazon.de/-/en/Lithium-Polymer-Battery-Rechargeable-Connector/dp/B08FD39Y5R/ref=pd_bxgy_d_sccl_1/262-1080977-0692423?pd_rd_w=A9PPY&content-id=amzn1.sym.049d9fe5-326c-4463-9183-bdeeaea54956&pf_rd_p=049d9fe5-326c-4463-9183-bdeeaea54956&pf_rd_r=NV3BHM3YKSBD8N2PM1TM&pd_rd_wg=33Pay&pd_rd_r=b3a4a3a5-4da5-44be-a291-acbe017dd63d&pd_rd_i=B08FD39Y5R&psc=1Not an issue to the product, but amazon recommends a battery which does not fit into hat: the battery length is 51 mm, and there is only about 34 mm space available to fit inside. Be careful with that too.Beside that, everything seems to be working fine.

Arrived in what looked like good condition. I plugged in the 1000ma 803040 battery it recommended. Immediately got too hot to handle to the touch and I had to unplug the battery. Clearly something was internally shorted; switch was off and none of the pogo pins were bent into each other or anything like that. Assumed maybe it had to be assembled to avoid overheating but a) it overheated when fully assembled and b) to assemble it you need the battery plugged in ahead of time because the jst faces toward where the pi zero mounts. I was still able to test this because the through mounts for the battery connector weren't trimmed and I was able to 'plug' my battery into it with it fully assembled. Still no go and fast/dangerous overheating.TLDR: I got a defective product that had some internal short and was causing thermal runaway. UNSAFE. DO NOT BUY

This still sticks with the micro USB connector which is unfortunate, but that's what RPi has done so at least it is consistent. The charge light blinks whenever the module is supplied power, even if there is no battery attached.I like that waveshare defines all the components used in the product images. I don't think I've seen that level of detail before on a product without going to the their wiki.It is a little fiddly to attach to the Pi. Once it is together it makes a solid little unit.If you mistakenly connect the battery in reverse the device gets super hot (80°C+). Nothing seems to have been damaged when I did that. Important to remember that there is no standard polarity for JST connector.Operation has been good. I put it with a 900mAh cell, Pi Zero W 1.1, and 2.13 e-Paper Hat v4 to make a pwnagotchi. I can get 3-4 hours per charge.

WARNING!!!! Make sure to triple check the polarity before plugging in any batteries.I instantly fried this board because the positive/negative is reverse from all the PH2.0 batteries I have from flying drones and the 10000mAh battery I specifically purchased for my project. Waveshare did reach out to try and make things right, but I accept the fault for assuming.
