mechanic fitted it, no issues and car works fine now, all the engine/ service warning lights have gone off the dash too.

If like me you are having issues with the vct solenoid, it's best to change it before it becomes a bigger issue.This part worked well and is compatible with a 2007 mini cooper, i was having some intermittent issues where the car would cut off after around 20 minutes driving and throwing a code about the solenoid on bank one being the issue.The problem is usually bad oil, or not enough oil changes, but because the car is so old i decided to change the vct solenoid as well as a good oil change and oil filter.It's really easy to change, just make sure you have the correct one located in the engine bay and that the parts actually look similar enough, after that just unplug the original one and unscrew it out, place this one in straight out of the box as is. Simple as that.This has fixed my issue and so far it's working really well, no more cutting out and running poorly.

There I was I had changed the cam sensors I had done the crank sensor. I had changed the plugs and every time the vehicle was okay for about five or 6 miles then as I pulled up to a junction it would just cut out or start high revving and then cut out fluctuating which put me in a position where I could actually cause a accident, I was going to change this before I bought one but I took my old one out and tried to clean it which worked for awhile a day or two. I took a chance buying this and I’ve never looked back. I changed the old one put this one in having tested the wiring to the cam sensors I could see they were getting the correct voltage. I tested the sensors to make sure they were working then I bought this cost me £25 or thereabouts and now the car runs and has run solid for three weeks. No issues whatsoever starts first time drives amazing. I have changed the oil as well prior to fit in fantastic piece of kit by one by two always have one handy because if you car starts running rough my money will be on this. Hope I never have to buy another one buy with confidence. The best amount of money I’ve ever spent on anything I was having sleepless nights going over the same thing in my head as a mechanic , change this and everything is fine
