Have tried the tester on my car and caravan seems to work very well. Very handy to keep in the car.

I am a novice when it comes to electrics so at least wanted some basic instructions included with this device. I get that you plug it into either the socket or the plug, but do the lights mean that there is an issue or there isn’t an issue, and if testing the socket on the vehicle do you have to try to activate the lights for the tester to register a problem! So, I am a little in the dark about how to use this. I have plugged it into the socket on the back of our car and one of the lights does light up. We have had no issues recently with the electrics, but from time to time have had minor faults when towing our caravan so thought this would be a great addition to our diagnostic kit. The other question I have for the manufactures is that there is button on the side of the tester that supposedly should only be pressed when testing a trailer plug, but again not sure the way this is supposed to be used. Are you supposed to hook both the socket and plug up at the same time, or not? Some basic operating instructions would have been nice! Please also make sure that if you order this you know that it needs a 9V battery to do any trailer diagnostics which I only realised when I read through the listing as again no instructions to let you in on this bit of information. Overall, I am not sure if it works properly as I have no instructions to tell me how to use it.My reviews follow this star rating:1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. Anhänger -Normbuchse passt nicht. Möglicherweise ist ist die Buchse falsch zusammengesetzt (Führungsleisten).Heute zurückgeschickt.
