I've been wanting to get into wood carving for years but never took the plunge. This product is what inspired me to finally get started. I can't really comment on the quality of the knives as I don't know what to expect, but so far all of the knives I've used from this kit have worked wonderfully. They cut the supplied wood cubes pretty easily and I feel like I have a decent amount of control with them. The gloves offer a decent amount of protection from the blades so I'm super thankful they're there. The case to hold everything is also really appreciated as it not only keeps everything together but allows me to keep everything away from my young son. My one complaint is that the bottom drawer was incredibly difficult to open initially because the foam insert had lifted a little bit and was preventing the drawer from moving. However, once I got it fixed, everything works wonderfully.This is a great kit and I'm really enjoying my time with it. Recommended!

A superb box of tricks,plus a drawer of chisel for carving,but suggest sharpening before using.when they are cutting well a good stropping more often than not.They keep a good working edge.Very happy with my purchase,regards and thanks John Hayes.
