Make sure that the screwdriver bits you are planning to use are “Impact screwdriver bits”. Unlike regular electric screwdriver bits, Impact screwdriver bits have hardened tips and a short “slightly narrower stem in the middle of their shaft so as to partially absorb the massive and sudden twist force. These adapters can be used with regular screwdriver bits; however, the tips of ordinary screwdriver bits will wear down very quickly.My recommendation is,1) if you have a 1/2” square drive impact driver then definitely buy these adapters along with a box of Impact Screwdriver Bits (in my case I needed PZ2 size bits). They work out quite cheaply when bought as a box set of say 10 to 25 pcs ranging in price between £8 to £15). Take care you purchase not only the correct tip type but also the correct screwbit length as a small section of your bit will actually sit well inside this adapter 😉(As I did not measure it I am not certain of the exact bit length “lost” inside the adapter but I expect this to be around 1/2”)2) Also apply considerably more downward force when using such PZ2 or Philips bits with an impact driver — failure to apply considerable downward force will result in the bit hopping in and out of the screw’s grooves. This will very quickly result in worn out screw heads, as well as, worn out screwdriver bits. Worn out screwdriver bits are easily replaceable … worn out screw heads of stubbornly rusted, immovable screws are a totally different matter altogether.

Guter Adapter für Schlagschrauber ( Makita mit 1000nm), sehr gute Standzeit!Ein Manko besteht allerdings, zum Gebrauch mit normalen Bits nicht geeignet!Man braucht immer einen Bithalter oder Langbits! Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen!

Macht nicht wirklich einen wertigen Eindruck.Lack schon bei Ankunft bei beiden Adaptern deutlich ringsum ab. Bisher tut es das was es soll, wenn auch alles etwas hakelig ist. Geht sicher besser, kostet dann aber natürlich auch mehr.Für hin und wieder zu Hause sicher fürs erste ausreichend (zumindest für mich ok), im Dauereinsatz sicher eher nicht geeignet.
