The brush in the lid of this product is one of those stiff, plastic bristled brushes that I remember from cheap children’s paint sets, but it easily pulls out of the lid and can be discarded.The varnish itself is a milky colour which dries clear. It dries fairly quickly and can be built up in layers to give a fairly glossy finish on air drying clay and decoupage, and presumably a multitude of other craft projects.I tried applying in thick coats to achieve the super glossy finish shown in the Watermelon Cat photos in the product description, but the varnish just dribbled and dried in blobs. Building up multiple thin layers gives a pretty glossy finish, but nothing like the high gloss, reflective surface shown on the Watermelon Cat.Still, it is glossy, it works well to seal and protect my air drying clay models, and to add gloss in select areas on my miniature models.Overall pretty good.

I've never thought that it would be possible to get a glazed kilned look to Air Dry Clay, this is a fantastic solution for those of us who do not have Kilns at home. It really does make the colours POP appear far more saturated but better still protects the colour and the piece. Its super easy to use and being water based any spills can be cleaned up easily if acted upon quickly, you can also clean your brushes under the tap. 200ml goes an incredible long way brush on an even coat not a thick coat and allow to dry for 24 hours, it will harden and shine as it dries. I fully recommend this.

This is a good varnish, I used it for air dry clay paint palettes. It's glossy, but definitely not Ultra glossy as stated on the bottle.You get 2 bottles, each bottle has a brush in the cap, but mine kept falling out. So I used a spare paintbrush that I had, and that was much better than the small brush included. The varnish is milky when wet, but dries clear. It dries pretty quickly, but make sure you varnish in a ventilated area as it does have a strong smell. It needs a few coats, but I was really happy with how well it worked. I think it's value for money, for the amount of varnish you get.

When I was a little girl, I used to paint elaborate landscape scenes on lake rocks. That was long before painted rocks became a popular thing. We couldn’t afford canvas, and acrylic paints on paper don’t work very well because the paper gets soggy and warped, that’s how I got started painting rocks. I have recently started that again; I find it very relaxing.I also like to paint my own ornaments on wood slices during the holidays. I paint unique holiday and landscape designs in acrylic, but the painting can be lost over time or damaged if I don’t seal the designs. That’s why I ordered this varnish, and it is fabulous.This gloss varnish works perfectly; it seals my artwork whether it is on stone, wood, or ceramic. I am very happy with the quality and performance of this varnish; it is very good quality, dries crystal clear, and works great.

I absolutely love the finish this Air Dry Clay Varnish gives to my air dry clay projects—it provides a beautiful high gloss shine. I haven’t yet tried it on other materials, but I’m definitely planning to use it on my mosaic clay tile project to give it that glossy finish.It’s definitely worth the price, offering great quality and is very easy to use. I also love that it can be used on top of paintings too, making it a versatile and handy addition to my crafting supplies!
