I buy a cable 9 strands with shield over all…. A made a 6 feet for one of my projects who required 5v and rs232 at 115200…. Cable have very high loss, my 5v ended a 4.5v and not able to go even a 9600… I made another one but used other brands white only 4 wires in it… same length… work my 5v and 115200

Bought for a project which was glitching, I suspected, due to RF noise susceptibility of existing ribbon cables. Sure enough, replaced them with this cable with shield grounded at one end, and problems have gone away. Seems well constructed.

I needed an 8-conductor cable for wiring some controls on a metal lathe, so this fit the bill perfectly and I have an extra conductor left over. Per the description, the conductors are very thin, so you'll need to solder rather than crimp them if you're using spade or ring terminals. The outer jacket is thicker plastic, so the cable is a little stiff. That's no problem at all for me, but some people might expect a cable with such fine conductors to be more flexible. In any case, this was exactly what I needed for my product, and the quality seems fine as well.
