Out of the box, these batteries are very good. I've tested 10 different brands of Sony NP-FZ100 batteries over the last 18 months and this brand came in third place, sitting only slightly behind the top two brands. I will include the results of my testing at the end of this review. This battery did not trigger any warnings on my Sony A7IV.The quality of the battery case is also quite good. It has a slightly grippy silicone outer shell and charges your batteries notably faster than the stock Sony charger. Everything from the way things are packaged to the quality of the materials speaks to this company's efforts to deliver a quality product and not just another cheap knockoff.Overall, I am impressed with the initial quality of this product but have not owned it for long enough to speak to longevity. In over five years of shooting with Sony, though, the only two batteries that I have had fail to hold a charge are the name-brand Sony batteries, so do with that information what you will.**Battery Testing Results**1st -- Powerextra (Rating: 18Wh, 1 month old) 87% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 3 Hours and 50 Minutes2nd-- Photoolex (Rating: 17.2Wh, 1 month old) 86% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 3 Hours and 34 Minutes3rd -- Llano (Rating: 17.3Wh, 1 month old) 85% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 3 Hours and 20 Minutes4th -- Ulanzi (Rating: 16.2Wh, 1 month old) 79% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 2 Hours and 23 Minutes5th -- Neewer (Rating: 16.4Wh, 1 year old) 79% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 2 Hours and 23 Minutes6th-- Sony (Rating: 16.4Wh, 1 year old) 75% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 2 Hours and 00 Minutes (No Longer Holds a Charge and Dies in a Little over a Week)7th -- Sony (Rating: 16.4Wh, 3 years old) 73% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 1 Hour and 51 Minutes (Battery No Longer Holds a Charge and Dies after Several Days)8th -- Magolin (Rating: 18 Wh, 1 month old) 71% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 1 Hour and 43 Minutes9th -- Eeyrnduy (Rating: 18.5 Wh, 3 months old) 66% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 1 Hour and 28 Minutes10th -- Kastar (Rating: 16.4 Wh, 2 months old) 63% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 1 Hour and 21 Minutes11th -- RavPower (Rating: 14.8Wh, 3 years old) 58% Battery Remaining after 30 Minutes of 4K Recording; Potential Recording Time 1 Hour and 11 Minutes (Battery Warning Triggered, Battery Percent Indicator Lost)

The llano charges my Sony batteries faster than the official Sony-branded charger, and can do two at once. The charge indicator with percentages is so much more helpful than a little LED dot that leaves you guessing. Oh, and it looks cool doing it.The included batteries themselves will charge via a standard USB-C wall wart or your car's USB outlet. No standalone charger required. I've since ordered another battery for three USB-C charging in total so that I have enough for an event. Forget to check charge on one, and I can connect it in the truck while using the other two. I haven't experienced a shorter battery life compared to the first-party Sony's either.I'm not buying any more batteries that can't charge like this. llano has engineered a great charger unit, and sells a very good battery.

This isn't a charger with a built in battery to charge on the go. I think there are different versions of these chargers so be clear on what you want and what you are getting. This kit comes with two 3rd party batteries that seem to be pretty good. They are not going to out shine your OME batteries but they are nice to have as backup.

Wow, this is one awesome battery set for my Sony camera! It is simple to use to keep my batteries charged and is a very well designed system in my opinion. So far, the battery life has been excellent, and the recharging time is quick and efficient. The charging case is compact and easy to store in my camera bag, and I like that it shows the battery status on its display. To date, I am very happy with this product and therefore highly recommend it with the top five star ranking and recommendation for sure!

The packaging is good. A nice dual battery charger with wrist strap, two USB C chargeable batteries, and a pouch for the price is a deal. It is also nice that it doesn't suffer from the error that some third party batteries have with the latest Sony firmware. The battery percentage shows properly on the camera and there are no warnings. That's what's good about it.What's not so good is the battery performance. I compared it against my 1-year old original Sony battery that has gone through a few dozen charge cycles already. The test environment is the same, running on my Sony FX30 with the same settings, same static scene, etc. Here are the results:Sony gives 106 minutes of runtime when running the battery down from 100% to 5%. This Ilano gives me only 81 minutes. In other words, the 1 year old Sony gives about 30% more runtime than the new Ilano. The test was a continuous run from 100% to 5% without any stoppage. What is interesting is that in the first 20% or so (i.e., from 100% to 80%), the Ilano has more runtime than the Sony, but as the battery percentage was lower, the Ilano was draining much quicker. The Sony had an almost linear drain with time, but the Ilano was not. My guess is that the Ilano drains faster as it gets warmer. That's just a guess. The bottom line is that it is much cheaper than the Sony, but also easily 30% worse runtime than the Sony. I guess it wins on runtime per dollar, if you want to look at it that way.I'd have given this 3 stars based purely on performance, but when I considered the value for money, I had to bump it up to four stars.
