These footstools are very handy and a great idea, but they are extremely hard to open and close. I love having a small, lightweight, portable stool that can be carried around in my hand or in a bag. I have a bad knee that needs to be stretched out and elevated when sitting. That's easy to do at home or in my own office, but in a meeting room, waiting room, or conference center it can be very hard to manage. This stool is a solution, and as a bonus I can also sit on it and use it as an emergency chair if needed. I weight about 125lb, and it supports my weight and is surprisingly stable and comfortable to sit on.But again, it is very hard to get the stool open or closed. I have to use all my strength and press hard against a solid surface in order to do it, which really cuts down on the benefit of having it fold flat. On top of that, the loud crack it makes when it opens or closes is so loud as to be alarming to people; you definitely wouldn't want to use it in an airport where people are on high alert for loud banging noises.

This is excellent for long flights. I would also use it to sit on when waiting to get through customs. I love the fact that I got two stools. They are sturdy. I also like the fact that they are lightweight. They can go in my personal bag.
