After spending 1/2 hour trying to clean out my old, moldy hose, I bought this set. I should have done this first. The hose was perfect, as was the rubber bite valve. I felt that the ridged portion of the "L" shaped valve was a bit tight trying to get it into the hose, so I actually used my old one. Maybe if I warmed up the hose, it would have slipped on easier? I will buy this again when my hose is no longer clear.

I'm headed back out to the desert for another big group camping trip in the dust, and it's almost inevitable that someone's Camelbak will fail, or will turn out to be missing parts. This kit covers the standard stuff and will probably save someone's day.

I bought these bite valves to replace the one that came on a generic hydration bladder (which replaced an original Camelbak bladder that got worn out.) The generic bladder came with the worst design I've ever imagined possible in a bite valve and I wanted something that would get me back to the original Camelbak feel. This is 100% it. They are odor-free, soft silicone that is durable, easy to bite down on handsfree, and will deliver water with zero effort. They even fit the hose on the generic bladder. I'll be saving all of the extra parts for future needs! These are exactly the product you've been searching for.
