I want to grow an avocado tree. We eat a lot of avocados and some have nice healthy seeds that I toss in the trash thinking I wish I could grow a tree from that seed. I had to find a glass container that fit and just start with one seed. You need a big seed as a small seed will fall through the sides. I have a large seed that is sitting in the water. You just want the bottom of the seed in the water and it is easy to adjust the water and keep checking the water because it evaporates and the bottom of the seed has to be wet. If the entire seed is wet they deteriorate. I have my fingers crossed that I can make this work. I will update my review when the roots start to grow or don't grow.'

Wish it had one more prong. Some of the smaller avocados have smaller seeds. So it doesn’t want to stay put. But works great on larger seeds.

The avocado seed holders fit any cup well. It is useful for propagating as it is difficult to get a skewer into an avocado seed. The material is light but sturdy. Personally, I think that the cost could be $1-2 less than advertised, but it is still worth it.
