I’m really impressed with this 5-pack of rod sticks made from diatomaceous earth. For those unfamiliar, diatomaceous earth is a natural, moisture-absorbing material, and these rods are incredibly effective for drying and reducing humidity in various spaces.I first bought these to help deal with the humidity in my closet, which tends to get damp, especially during the warmer months. I placed a couple of the rods near the corners, and within a few hours, the air felt noticeably drier. They absorbed so much moisture that I didn’t have to worry about mold or that musty smell creeping in. It’s the perfect solution for keeping smaller, often damp areas dry.I also started using them in my gym bag, specifically for drying out my basketball shoes after every practice. These shoes can get pretty soaked with sweat and rain, and just airing them out usually takes forever. I tucked one of the diatomaceous earth rods inside each shoe, and the next day, they were nearly dry—way faster than any other method I’ve tried. The rods really do an excellent job drawing out moisture, and they’ve kept my shoes smelling fresher, too.The best part is that these rods are reusable. After using them, I just let them air out in a dry spot, and they’re good to go for the next round.
