This "mesh" fails frequently in the OEM BMW part, might last 3 years in high temperature use (i.e. Texas) and the option of replacing the mesh versus replacing the entire blower cover is intriguing. These are actually easy to replace and the savings potential is compelling. There are other options but this mesh is thick and more robust than OEM. I think it should do well.

Take apart existing housing which takes the most time. Clean it and use hot glue to attached. Good to go and keeps leaves out
