It's complicated and might require soldering. I used the Saintsmart thermocouple amplifier instead and it works great.

Well calibrated, easy to assembly and use. Works well with thermocouples I have. Instructions printed on item are clear accurate.

After reading the review about the temperature being way off, the first thing I did with this amplifier was perform an experiment using another calibrated temperature measuring device, calculate this amplifiers temperature slope, and compare it to the formula printed on the PCB.The data was surprisingly linear a temperature range of 120-20 degrees Celsius. There is about 2.4 to 2.8 degree Celsius error between the theoretical value (i.e. the calculated value based on the equation on the PCB from the output voltage) and what I measured. I'm not sure why the other reviewer had issues (maybe they were not using a K type thermocouple) but I would say being within a fairly constant 2 to 3 degrees is pretty good "out of the box."
