First off, this review is only meant for the persons that actually do wayyyy too much research on stuff before purchasing. I do commercial and residential inspections so I use tools like this A LOT!!!Pros: So the display is very nice, super easy to take a photo of with your phone if you need to whereas others are very difficult to achieve legible readouts when it’s a pic with a camera or phone. Other then that, that’s about the only thing I like about it.Cons: As for daily operations and user friendliness. My absolute biggest issue is it’s accuracy tolerances. I can literally take 15 readings all back to back they’ll show within the same range roughly then if I go back to the same locations it can be off by upwards of 8°-12°F+ from original read outs. That kind of makes a big deal when you’re talking about measuring temps on a brand new AC unit that can go from showing an average of 60° at the registers to 72° at them 10 minutes later. Granted you’re checking for differentials but still if someone inquired about the temps actually coming out of a register telling them 72°F is kind of junk if it’s only 78° in a house and the HVAC system is actually producing temps in the mid to low 50°s. The temps don’t seem to change like this until the device naturally cycles off which unfortunately it cycles off fairly quickly, maybe within a minute or so. Which leads me to my next annoying issue. If you’re running from room to room in a larger building the device powers off before you can take your second reading, pair this with the terrible temperature tolerance and it becomes a headache. So if you plan on using this efficiently, have an idea of your path through a property and walk quickly if needed. Also the device doesn’t power on very quickly which is annoying if you’re trying to rush and it cycles off anyways. Lastly the damn thing beeps entirely too much. Only thing I’ve noticed that can be good for is if you accidentally turn it on while it’s in the holster of your tool belt so that way you’re not killing batteries for no reason. Just to note for all testings I’ve done after owning it for a couple months, I’ve used very high end infrared guns to double check and compare the temperatures so the systems changing temps themselves isn’t a factor. My personal opinion if you can’t afford a decent infrared thermometer by Fluke or another reputable brand just stick with the tiny ones that are like $20-30. I originally only purchased this out of curiosity due to its spot size at distance being 30:1 instead of the normal 12:1. This is only important when taking measurements of something that is far away like a vaulted ceiling but in this case it’s inaccuracy at just 2-3’ makes for some very inaccurate readings when dealing with high ceilings.Im sorry if this device is produced/sold by a small company trying to make ends meet I’m sure this is more then likely just a product sold by a huge Chinese company though and could care less about my review but anyways there’s my thoughts.

Seemed to be working properly til the internal sensors for the computer kept saying it was over heating but the scanner showed it was much lower. Tried different batteries thinking it might be that but nope, no matter what the scanner didn't register the ever increasing Temps.

Pyrometer AN-1500-A Digital Infrared Thermometer High Temp -58℉- 2732℉ (-50℃ to 1500℃Never was there a product that worked right out of the box you put the battery in and pressed the trigger-DONE. Unbelievable no programming needed to use.The only thing I did was change celsius to fahrenheit .
