Das sind Fragen, die sich der ein oder andere vielleicht gelegentlich stellt, vor allem, wenn man neue Möbel aufgebaut hat, die ausdünsten. Mit diesem Gerät soll man das feststellen können.Es ist so weit gut verarbeitet, das Display ist groß, aber unübersichtlich, man muss sich erst mit der Anleitung durchfinden. Die Bedienung dagegen ist simpel, im Nu hat man einige Werte, die man dann allerdings auch interpretieren muss. Dazu findet man im Internet einige Tabellen, auf denen man diese Werte vergleichen und die Schadstoffbelastung einordnen kann. Ob die gemessenen Werte auch der Wahrheit entsprechen, das kann ich natürlich nicht beurteilen.Man erhält beispielsweise einen Wert für Formaldehyd, das oft aus Möbeln austritt. Das Gerät gibt bei Überschreiten der Grenzwerte Alarm. Auch ist es möglich, diese Werte zu speichern und dann zu vergleichen, wenn man in Abständen misst.Interessant: Bei mir war alles ok, bei einem Bekannten, der gerade neu tapeziert und einen neuen Schrank aufgebaut hat, ist das Gerät sofort in den roten Bereich gegangen.Für Menschen, die etwas empfindlich auf bestimmte Stoffe reagieren, kann dieses Gerät durchaus eine Hilfe sein, um anschließend Maßnahmen zu ergreifen. Allerdings muss man sich wirklich erst in den Ablauf hineindenken.

We got this Air Quality Tester for testing the air quality in our house.The title of the product claims that it is able to measure CO2 but the device itself has no CO2 measurement displayed. This makes sense as there is no CO2 sensor mounted on the circuit board. Therefore if you are looking for a CO2 monitor, don't buy this product as it doesn't measure CO2.The readings themselves seem to be measuring the things they claim to measure. The device has individual sensors for each of the measurements.The PM2.5 sensor is a Winsen Z1403B. The sensor normally reads 0 in our house, but it you use it near a area that you know has particles in the air (like while you are sanding or cooking) it does start to climb. We also tested it near an open flame and it showed different values for each particle size.The HCHO (formaldehyde) sensor is (I believe) a Winsen ZE08 HCHO detector but I'm not 100% certain on that. The sensors reports a value that is consist with the location tested - if it said the HCHO level was so many mg/m3 when placed on the floor in the middle of the living room today it will report the same value when tested again tomorrow. When placed near objects that you would suspect have lots of formaldehyde (like particle board and plywood) it reports a higher value. It reports a much lower value outside than it does inside. It also reports higher values near a gas stove when the stove is on.The TVOC sensor appears to be a Winsen ZP16. It is the most problematic of the sensors. On the one hand it does appear to detect a bunch of the chemicals a TVOC sensor is supposed to detect. You can test this by just breathing on it - your breath is full of the exact chemicals the TVOC sensor is designed to detect. The problem is that the output has a habit of wandering all over the place. It will frequently jump to the max (10 mg/m3) and just stay there. Turning the device off and back on again will result in a new reading. Sometimes it will sit at the same value for a while and then suddenly jump to a value in the 9s, after which it will slowly count back down to a value in the 1s. I wonder if the problem is with the programming in the device itself as opposed to an inaccurate sensor.Long story short - in my testing if you turn the device on, measure an area, turn it off, count to 10, and turn it back again you will get the same PM2.5 and HCHO but you will only get the same TVOC maybe 1/3 of the time. After 30 mins or so the value seems to stabilize. PM2.5 goes up when you sand or cook, HCHO goes up near glues and down outside. So even if the values being reported are wrong, it does appear that the HCHO and PM2.5 sensors are actually measuring the things they claim to measure.There are other annoyances. When you go to the details screen for the various values it has an area for the 10 sec and 60 sec average, but that only seems to work for the "Hazard" value and not for the individual measurements. That sort of shoddy programming is what has me spooked about the accuracy of the measurements - there does appear to be some sort of sliding window/weighting being used to calculate the displayed value, but if you do that sort of math wrong you can easily end up with a value that is consistently high (or low).Overall, I'm not convinced that this $200 device is worth the full $200. It certainly advertises features that it either doesn't have (C02), feel flakey at times (TVOC) or don't work (10 sec and 60 sec averages for most values) which is an issue. That being said, for the values that it does measure you seem to be getting a reading that makes sense.
