I like the variety of third-party products coming out that use the Dewalt 20V batteries. I needed a hot glue gun to use in my plant nursery to affix stake tags to containers so that they don't get separated. This hot glue gun fits the bill perfectly. I've hated fooling with corded glue guns, so, when I found this one, purchasing it was a no brainer. After affixing a few hundred stake tags, I think it was a good choice. I'm using smaller 3 AH batteries that I already have and they work great.

very simple and easy to usehas a switch for easy on and off takes about 7 seconds to get hot enough and has an automatic shut off after a few minutesfits perfectly on and dewalt battery and is light weight and easy to use

This glue gun works out perfectly for me in my woodshop for a multitude of tasks. The most convenient aspect is that it is cordless and woks off a dewalt 20v battery allowing me not to have to be near an outlet. I am glad that I made the purchase.

I install cabinetry, and usually use a Surebonder corded glue gun to tack things, install trim blocks, glue in shims etc. On new construction jobs, you usually have a couple of outlets that are hot and that's it. So, you either need battery power, or a lot of cords. For the price I thought I'd give this a try, and its first day out, I'm kind of impressed. It heats quickly, much more quickly than I expected, stayed hot, and fed the glue sticks easily. I used a 4ah DeWalt 20v battery and with intermittent use, I dropped a bar on the power meter. Considering this is supposedly 100w gun, I don't think that's bad. I turn it on and use it. When I'm done I turn it off. I can see going through batteries if you leave it on for long periods, but if you don't need it, shut it down. Most corded glue guns don't recommend leaving them powered on for long periods, or at least my Surebonder doesn't. I was also impressed that I didn't experience any leakage at the tip. I don't know of this tip has a check valve like my Surebonder, but no drips is a huge plus. I think for the price, and the ability to use batteries you already have, it's a win win. Longevity will be the true test, but even if it lasts a year, I think it's worth it even if you have to replace it eventually.

I purchased this Full Size MaxDone Glue Gun because of its feature-set and competitive price. I've now used it a bit and This is a Great Glue Gun. Even Better than the plug-ins I've used. It heats up as fast as a plug-in being useable in about a minute for very hot glue. The On/Off switch works smoothly and the indicator LED is a nice feature to show it is still turned on when it's set back down-and its very stable sitting upright on its battery. It fits very comfortably in the hand and the longer trigger is nice to have for operating it at different/odd angles. The photos all show it with one of the long interchangeable tips attached (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NDDXZ5X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) which is easy to change and a very important feature for me. In fact, I would suggest that the seller carry the Nozzle kit as an option with the Glu Gun, but its readily available if/until then as a separate item. It takes a few seconds longer to heat up with the long tip but it sure is a handy item for reaching difficult to get at places.When I submitted my order number via email for activating the 2 year warranty (instructions in the box) I was very pleasantly surprised when the Seller responded quickly asking me to contact him directly if any problems. How wonderful is that! It was a GREAT glue gun before, but now its a WONDERFUL Glue Gun!I always update my reviews if the situation changes in any way so that it remains a helpful review for others, and to let the seller know if/when there is a product issue to be aware of.
