An additional locking tab engages automatically when the camera is inserted, adding extra security. Releasing the camera is just as easy—press a button and lift.The silicone lanyard attachment is equally well-designed. It features a thick, sturdy clasp that locks into the base. It stays in place without shifting, making it far more comfortable than traditional chest harnesses. I use action cameras all the time for my field work. Until now, I’ve used the standard web harness to hold an action camera to my chest. These products work fairly well, but can be cumbersome to put on, and always have to be worn outside any clothing you wear. This means, if you wear anything with a hood (jacket, hoodie, etc.), you have to fish the hood through the webbing every time you put it on or take it off. In the wet, or cold, this can be a pain. This could be avoided if neck straps had snap clasps, but none that I have, and I have a dozen, have this feature.This “pendant” avoids this by allowing you to hang the camera from your neck. Once hung, you can zip you coat up 95% of the way, and the same for your hoodie. The rubber strap that encircles your neck inserts into the pendant with a very secure clasp/click. You’ll need to depress the button on the pendant to make this connection, and this is not covered well in the instructions. I pushed and pushed, trying to get it to click, but no joy until I pushed the button.I was concerned the camera wouldn’t be held securely to my chest. This might be a problem if you just hung the camera using the pendant alone. However, a small but effective web is included that goes around your chest (this is fine, as it has a clasp to make installation and removal easier), and the camera is very securely held in place - easily as well as the standard strap harnesses.The product includes a mounting plate to hold your camera. This is a bespoke product, which means you only have one, and it is the ONLY way to mount your camera. This more or less negates the “quick release” function of this mount, something that would’ve been a useful way to quickly swap out multiple cameras.How do I obtain additional mounting plates? This appears to be a custom-made product. Would have been better had they used some form of standard quick release plate. I almost took off one star for this design flaw, but decided the pros of the product far outweighs this minor con.The mounting plate is held in place with a magnet AND a snap. It’s very secure. To release, you need to depress another button, this one on the bottom (which makes it very unlikely it will be inadvertently pushed).So, overall, this is a “better mousetrap”. It does its job well, is simple and easy to use.Highly recommended.

This is a nice new take on chest mounts that is comfortable and simple to use. It's great in warmer weather when you have thin shirts on because the mount can be kept under your shirt and there's a magnetic clip that the camera goes on that is the only visible part of the harness. It clips on securely through your shirt and doesn't fall off while moving or if you accidently bump the GoPro with your arms while fishing. So far I've only used the neck part of the harness and haven't hooked up the straps that go around my chest. Using the mount under your shirt and putting the camera on the outside keeps it secured enough for me that I haven't felt the need for the chest strap. This is nice when it's hot and you don't have thick clothing on, you don't need to have the strap digging in to you.The neck area of this is covered in silicone and is moldable to fit any size neck. When you bend it, it stays in place well and is very comfortable. There is a little weight to it, but if you bend it to fit your neck and chest the weight is distributed well and it isn't noticeable. Everything about this is overbuilt and high quality. This is my new favorite mounting solution for GoPros and it's going to help my YouTube videos out a lot!
