The ide connector is too low down for most 2.5 drives to effectively use this carrier board.Very commonly these are being used for retro PCs using 2.5 inch to mSATA caddies. But the solder the all of the caddies sticks out making it near impossible to use these devices.

Got it for an old hard drive but it does not fit I am sure it would work with another hard drive

The connector for the HD is flush with the board so you can’t align the drive as there needs to be a 1mm gap between the board and bottom of the connector as the HD has a circuit board on the underside of the drive that raises the HD connector by About 1mm. As it stands you need a gender changer and a short ribbon cable to make a connection, but this means you can’t use the holes in the board to secure the HD so it’s going to slide about. In short a really frustrating piece of kit, it could have been really useful.
