It's hard to beat this CO2 charger for the money, but it does take a little brain power & muscle to use it properly.Granted, it took us 4 CO2 cartridges to get the hang of properly using it, so here's a few things that we learned.1) Use airgun oil to lube up the seals on it well.2) Be careful that the inside puncture seal doesn't fall out and/or stay stuck to the CO2 cartridge that you're removing.3) It takes a little muscle & some grip strength to properly puncture the CO2 cartridge.4) 1st gently snug the cap down to the cartridge without puncturing it, then get a good grip & quickly puncture & snug the cap down the rest of the way.5) You may have to fiddle with whatever you are filling to get your technique down, depending on the fill valve size & clearance.6) The auxiliary oil cap is not really necessary, as you should just put a few drops of oil on the fill seal inside of the cap every time that you replace the CO2 cartridge and/or just put a drop on the outside tip.7) Practice makes perfect, lol. We're not necessarily saying that some of the prior low reviews were by feebs and/or those with low skills & patience, but...uh, yeah, lol.YMMV

Got this to fill my Avengers 40mm airsoft shower shells with CO2. Works fine, but if you lose the piercer seal you are out of luck - nobody sells it. Mine blew off at some point and went to the moon. So I designed a printable TPU seal that's worked fine since. It's a bit tough to tighten down and pierce the 12g on some brands of 12g caplet, due to varying seal thicknesses. I use Umarex, which are pretty thin, so I've had no problems, but I'm really big with a lot of grip strength. Your mileage may vary.

got it to work 2 times but it froze the o ring "if you can even call it that" and tore causing it to leak and the puncture nozzle got dull and wouldn't pierce the foil top of the co2 capsule. just get a more expensive one that has a gauge on it

You have to use pliers to get it to close enough to pierce the cartridge, the catridge doesn't pierce enough to fill even the smallest resevoirs (shotgun shells) with high pressure, green gas gives me a much higher FPS even though it shouldn't. And the rubber gasket fell out after 2 cartrides. Not a well designed product. Look elsewhere.
