I started with two pet carrier backpacks—the Apollo Walker and Lollimeow—but quickly realized that wheels would make life easier. So, after some searching, I ended up purchasing a pet carrier backpack with wheels instead.That said, if you don’t need wheels (they do add weight and bulk), both the Apollo Walker and Lollimeow are great options. The Apollo Walker is much roomier, which gives pets more space but also makes me worry about whether it would fit under some airline seats.Both carriers fully open on the sides and top front, making access and storage easy. They also come with soft, removable bottom pads, though Apollo’s pad is thicker and has a washable zip-off cover—definitely a plus.Storage-wise, both have side pockets, but Lollimeow’s is roomier and zips closed, while Apollo’s is just an elastic enclosure. Lollimeow also has a strap to secure it atop a rolling carry-on, which Apollo lacks.Comfort features vary: Neither has stowable shoulder straps, but both have waist straps for extra support. Apollo adds a chest strap, while their back panels differ—Apollo’s is padded fabric, while Lollimeow’s is padded plastic.Ultimately, it depends on what you need. If space is your priority, Apollo Walker wins. If compact design and airline-friendly features matter more, Lollimeow has the edge. And if you’d rather roll than carry? Go for wheels!

This back pack is a great size for my full grown cat. I love that the sides are sturdy so it holds its shape and doesn’t collapse in on itself. Plenty of room for my cat and not too big for me to carry around. We like to go on walks. I’ve owned a few back packs for her and this one so far is my favorite and the most comfortable. The mesh seems plenty durable but I haven’t had it for long so we will see. Definitely would recommend this for cats, small dogs or puppies.

Preface, I haven’t hiked with it vs a couple 1 mile walks in neighborhood (test with dog). Tried on back and in front. July 2025 will be a big test.This backpack is the larger one in the pics. The smaller one is Leke.Pro’s- Waist strap- Plenty of ventilation- Rain cover- Nice kennel size- Great way to bring your pet in a store vs leaving them in your air conditioned car.Con’s- Shoulder straps are just OK- No zip pockets- Clip for dog harness (to ensure dog doesn’t fall or jump out) is too long at shortest length (have a doxie) and is on one side vs in the middle of the backpack

Wir haben unseren Terrier langsam daran gewöhnt, am Anfang einfach Essen rein gemacht und dann immer mehr Reißverschlüsse von Tag zu Tag zu. Dann kurze Zeiten im Rucksack und dann verlängert. Inzwischen mag unser Hund den Rucksack ganz gerne. Mit Leckerlis klappt es immer.

I bought this for my Maine coon cat who is now 6 months old and he fits into it well and still has room for him to grow. It is very stable and supportive and the straps for hiking are great. I’m really happy with this purchase and would recommend!

I use this backpack for my 7kg (15 pound) cat and he fits nicely. I would not recommend it for larger cats or dogs otherwise they may be squished. I wore it for a short period of time and my back did start to hurt, probably wouldn’t be the comfiest for long walks or hikes. Overall it does the job and provides a safe retreat for kitty on adventures.
