Le voyant ne s’est pas encore allumé alors que je m’en sert depuis plus d’un an. Absolument génial…

This jug filters the tap water quite quickly and leaves it with a clean taste. I don't really care about the aesthetics of this jug I just know that it does the job and does it well.I gave my brita filter to my dad and this new filter is good for my use now. Easy to set up and it lasts long on a single charge. I've used it for cooking, heating up a brew and simply drinking water and I'm satisfied with the product.

It doesn't hold 2.8 litres as advertised. It's marked just over 1.5. A bit disappointed, a very good item slightly spoiled.

I do like the J Shmidt 500 Power Pitcher, but on first use it's difficult to figure out the instructions. The top is removed by twisting, which didn't occur to me to try and requires large hands. After you have done it once, it's easy to do. The instructions mention anti slip pads, which in fact are not included. I suspect the instructions should start with charging the battery, but this is mentioned half way through after you filled the pitcher. I recommend finding a video, although I found only Polish and Russian ones. The video here on Amazon didn't work properly. Anyway, the Polish video was fine, because I could see how to disassemble the thing.A few weeks down the line... I am generally very happy with the J Shmidt 500 Power Pitcher. The water tastes wonderful and the filtering is very fast. Only one slight gripe. When I lift a full pitcher, the handle creaks and squirms in my hand. It's made of 2 parts, which should fit tightly together. In fact they don't fit tightly together, they are loose. The handle feels flimsy and unsafe. It seems a pity to spoil such a great product with a cheapskate handle.

6-month update: one filter change, still going strong, really like this product! Doesn’t need charging that often either.——————On an absolute scale, I'd give this 3-4 stars, but in Amazon world, that would put it below other products that are significantly worse, so it really has to get 5 stars here.The fundamental idea is great - in order to filter water properly, you need a very resistant filter that then requires pressure to force water through it. Gravity isn't sufficient, so the usual countertop jugs simply can't do as good a job as a mains-pressure system.If you don't want to, or can't install a mains-fed system, then so far this is your only option for a more thorough filtering of your water, on par with fixed-installation systems but in the simple and easy format of a regular pitcher-style filter.So 5* for the idea, and at a basic level, for the execution as well. Because there's nothing to criticise at a fundamental level, and the product is quite unique, the following caveats are simply considerations on whether this is a reasonable purchase in the longer run.1. Longevity - who knows? But it has multiple electronic components that can, and eventually will fail. Even if the pump never does, the battery will. At that point, you will have a plastic brick. The battery is likely replaceable by the more technically-minded (the housing can be opened with a few screws and the battery is likely a standard off-the-shelf part), but for most people I suspect it isn't.2. Unique, proprietary filter - if it becomes difficult or impossible to obtain the specific filter manufactured for this device, you will have a plastic brick.3. Design - it works, but the control panel is ugly, almost like it was designed to look awful. It is cheap looking, which does not affect function, but still, for such an expensive item, it's needlessly horrible looking. You can judge for yourself from the pictures, which are a fair representation of what it looks like in person - it certainly doesn't look better in real life. The led lights are also pretty ugly, as if absolutely no attention was paid to any aesthetic considerations at all.4. Minor design flaw - when attaching the pump section, it is very easy unintentionally to activate the pump. This is harmless but irritating.So far, I'm glad I bought this. It fits my use case perfectly. It's also the best quality filtration I've ever seen on a pitcher-style device.But only time can tell if this is an idea that will last or will fail to catch on and disappear. On the upside, Aquaphor have been around for ages and I've personally been using their products for years so hopefully the product will last.
