I saw mentions on install issues but I figured it wouldn't be that bad. Well I've spent the last 7 hours messing around with different drivers, different versions of Matlab, anything I could try and yet I couldn't get the software to connect to the Arduino. Unfortunately you can only see the amount of 1 star reviews from people who also couldn't get the thing to work once you try to install the add-on packages in MATLAB. To sell a borderline faulty product for 300 dollars is embarrassing. Honestly won't even consider buying another Arduino product after this.

The Rev 1 kits I had BOTH have faulty Hall sensors. The Rev 2 kit I have has incorrectly sized servo arms. Arduino does ABSOLUTELY NO QA on these kits. Then, when you try to get them to correct the problems, they blow you off. Be prepared to do a lot of troubleshooting to get these kits to do what they are advertised. Always double check things are working before using them in a teaching situation.

Ich muss gestehen, dass ich bereits seit zwei Jahren als Ingenieur arbeite. Aber das Set ist echt ein cooles Spielzeug. Gedacht für Abiturienten und Bachelorranten. Wirklich nicht schwierig aber spannend. Großer Minuspunkt ist das die Lizenz von Matlab nur für ein Jahr gilt, danach ist das Set unbrauchbar relativ zum Preis. Arduino und Matlab sollten hier dringend nachbessern! Und in einem Jahr hat man neben Studium oder Schule keine Zeit alles zu bauen. Spiele mit dem Gedanken mit privat eine neue Lizenz fürÜber 300 € zu kaufe.Ebenfalls muss ich sagen, ich bin großer Matlab Fan in meiner Freizeit, in der Arbeitswelt als Regelungstechnik-Ingenieur find es dennoch keine Anwendung.

Excellent engineering grade projects. So nice to see them stepping beyond the beginning kits to develop real world usable learning kits. Kudos!
