My goal was to use these as nodes to my AX11000 router to replace Powerline plugs around the house. Unfortunately, these XD4's regularly dropped to Poor signal in the Asus Router App and connected to the main router on the 2.4ghz channel. I tried updating these and repositioning and they would initially join on 5ghz Great Signal and then within a couple of days, drop down to Poor signal. As a result, we were suffering with terrible connectivity when devices were using these nodes around the house.I separately had a XD6S device and this connected to the main router at 5ghz at all times and provided a great signal in that area of the house. I have since replaced the XD4 with XD6S devices and the improvements are enormous. Connectively is great to the XD6S devices.Maybe I had a bad batch of the XD4 devices but they were on the latest firmware and just seemed very poor. Can't recommend.

Reasonably good quality, and nice with the wallmount option. Fairly simple to set up via the app on your smart phone.Why it does not get a 5 star rating is due to this:- I don't really like the white light on the router's bottom part which can be seen at night, but this is easily fixed with a little white tape.- Not as simple to setup as given in the instructions for the installation part. When I had put the internet cable from the fiber modem into the first of the 3 routers, the app on the cell phone could not detect the internet connection even if the units were hardwired together, and there were no help for this problem in the app. So I had to try different things myself to see if I could fix the issue. Powering off the modem and routers strangly enough did NOT fix this issue. But after unplugging and plugging in the internet cable and after powering off and powering on the router and waiting for 10 min, then all of a sudden the app picked up the connection and I could finish the installation.- I thought the wifi signal was stronger that it is. We have a 140 m2 house (approx. 3500 ft2) with a small annex and with 3 units I am NOT able to cover the house and annex with full signal strength (= green connections on the app). I had to buy another unit to supplement the setup with. We have a house made of bricks so when the marketing people did the marketing materials and testing of the routers, they must have been in a cardboard hourse. The range they claim is nowhere near our reality at our house.

This is pretty good Mesh system for our house. We have a two-storey house with thick concrete floors between all room. The system works just great between floors via wifi, without physical ethernet connection between nods. There is no loss in speed. Setup is simple.The kit even includes plugs for different types of sockets.

The latency of these devices is just crazy. Every modification ( like renaming one of the devices ) is just a fight between you and the app.The update process is mental and the signal strength is weak through a wall. Maybe ok if your mesh network is in a field , with no obstacles.Don’t waste your time on this product.Really disappointed by ASUS

I tried multiple mesh sytems before this including Orbi, Xiaomi and Amplifi. This one offered the best speeds and above all it was very easy to setup. Its compact and offers great coverage and speeds.

Alles ist ok und leider habbe ich das nicht früher gekauft.Reichweite ist ok ohne backbone abber est kunte besser sein.Abber weiter ein top Produkt
