This is a great phone holder. Previously I just had something that slotted into the CD drive and clamped the phone. To charge it, I had to plug a cable into the charging port on the phone. When I switched to an iPhone 15 Pro Max (the first iPhone model to use USB-C rather than a lightning port), I found that the USB-C cable wouldn't fit firmly in place, so charging was patchy at best. At home I always use wireless chargers, so looked to see if I could get something similar for in the car. That's when I found this phone holder, and I wouldn't want to use anything else now. With different options for how you mount the holder, I think this has most bases covered. The clip to attach it to an air vent turned out to not be suitable in our Qashqai+2, but the suction cup mount works perfectly. I am going to get another one for our other car (a Polo), and have already checked that the clip mount will be ideal. My phone is in a case so I wasn't sure if it would be too wide for the holder, but it just about fits. I put the phone in the holder and when I turn the ignition on, it automatically grips the phone. When it's time to remove it again, just press one of the buttons on either side of the holder; it will then release the phone. (If your phone is much wider than an iPhone 15 Pro Max, or you have a particularly chunky case, I would think there is a chance that it might not fit.)You need to adjust the height of the phone to make sure the wireless charger is lined up, but this is easily done using the rest at the bottom of the holder. My partner has a slightly smaller phone than me, but the same height seems to work for both of us.All in all, this is a great way to mount and charge your phone in the car.

Having never had vent mountings work in the past for robustly holding my iPhone, I have always opted for windscreen mounted versions but then the suffer from the suns direct heat and so the suction fails and the whole lot comes crashing down leaving a very sticky residue on the windscreen which is difficult to remove. And so, having read the reviews of the Auckly supplied vent-mounted holder, I decided to take the plunge and I am glad that I did.Fixing the base to the vent is simplicity itself as there is a threaded wing-nut to open and close the jaws so you can ensure that it is securely in place before adding the mount to the base.It works very well in that there is sufficient freedom to ensure that the driver can see navigation instructions etc. and the view through the windscreen is also better and now, having driven quite a few miles since installing, I'm happy that everything is still secure and as I would wish. Not knowing whether the vent-clip solution would work for me, I ordered the variant that also contained a suction-cup base as well as a 12vDC charger. When it arrived, I could not see the vent clip and so thought that they had sent me the suction-cup alone version. But I was wrong as the packaging is misleading. When you open the box, the suction-cup base is on the left and the phone-holder is on the right sitting on a thick bed of foam to protect the socket on the back of the holder. You have to remove the foam to find another chamber below which holds the vent-clamp, the 12VDC charger and the cable. Not knowing this at the time of receipt, I contacted Auckly and they said that they would send out any missing items without question. I then found the missing parts and let Auckly know together with the perhaps cheeky request for a second vent-clip to be able to mount the phone on either side of the car - this they agreed to do and it's on the way without further charge - so I'm truly Impressed with the quality and speed of Auckly support. In closing, Auckly have provided me with a 60-month warranty (the QR code was in the box) to give me total peace of mind in selecting this product.

The phone holder is amazing! However due to where the charging element is located it is not viable if you own a samsung galaxy flip. I Purchased it for my flip but does not charge due to location of the charger. Good thing is there is a gap at bottom where you can manually plug your charger in so not bad all in all. Quality is good and durable, definitely still value for money for what it is! Cannot fault it as it is personal error that the holder is not compatible for my phone.

This Phone Holder made by Auckly does everything it should well.It arrives in actually well thought out packaging, which is important. It gives you their first indication that they actually care in their product.Instructions are easy to understand.Position your Holder. It arrives with its own 12V Charger and wire that connects to the underside of the holder. There is a release button on the lower left of the holder. Place your Phone on the holder. Turn on the vehicle and the Holder should automatically clamp your phone and initiate wireless charging. I have a Samsung S22 Ultra (a very large phone), clamp is capable a secure even on cobbled roads, twisty corners, over potholes etc. .The only negative, which is a minor one, now we approaching winter the plastic hardens and there is more vibration than in the Summer. But honestly that is me nit-picking. I may change position of holder from dashboard to windscreen to help reduce vibration.Regardless of the good build quality, I'm not sure how long this will last. It does state it has a 10 year Warranty, something I doubt. Especially as the QR links just take me to back to the Amazon site. All I can say if it breaks, maybe Amazon will assist? But probably not..Overall, with 6-month usage, I'm so far very happy with the product and for the cost of £20 is extremely good value, if it continues to be a sturdy product and the warranty exists.
