A little pricey for what they are, but very well made and a perfect fit for my AE5s. I think they look classy.

These Audioengine speaker stands work very well for holding small bookshelf or near-field monitor speakers. These speaker stands are very strong for their small size, and they will hold some fairly heavy speakers at the proper listening angle. That listening angle is roughly 15 degrees (give or take), depending on the weight of the speakers, as heavier speakers will bend the spring-metal speaker platform down a little more than lighter speakers. Also, deskchair height/position has a lot to do with where these speaker stands will direct the sound of the speakers at the ears. These speaker stands are very well padded and insulated, which helps to keep the speakers and stands in place, and also to keep the speakers from resonating sound and vibration through the desk/shelf that they are sitting on. These speaker stands work just as well as the overpriced foam isolation speaker pads/stands from other manufacturers for limiting resonance and vibration.I have these speaker stands holding two Klipsch R-41M bookshelf speakers (see photo), as part of my custom-built desktop PC's sound system, and the stands work perfectly for holding these speakers. The Klipsch R-41M speakers are at the perfect listening angle, and there is absolutely no resonance or vibration transferred to the desk at all. The entire sound system consists of the two Klipsch R-41M speakers (on these speaker stands), and a Dayton Audio SUB-800 8 inch powered subwoofer. The Klipsch R-41M speakers are connected through the high-level speaker outputs of the subwoofer, and they are powered by a Dayton Audio DTA-100a amplifier that is connected to the sub's high-level inputs. The Dayton Audio DTA-100a amplifier is connected to a Creative Labs Audigy FX V2 internal PCIe soundcard. The Klipsch R-41M speakers are crossed over at 80hz (they are rated down to 68hz), which (along with the speaker stands) helps to keep the resonance and vibration on the desk to a bare minimum. The subwoofer handles all of the low frequencies below 80hz. Honestly, this has to be one of (if not THE) best PC sound system setups that I have ever heard, and these speaker stands play a large part in the great sound reproduction. I have tried many 2.1 PC sound systems over the years from Klipsch, Logitech, Edifier, etc., and none of them (even the great Klipsh Pro Media 2.1 System that I previously had for 12 years) can compare to using separate high-quality audio components, and well- made speaker stands. I can listen to music through this sound system for hours, while working on my computer, without any fatigue whatsoever. I am also a guitar player, and this sound system plays loud/clear enough for me to practice while playing along with music played through the computer. I am a happy camper all the way around now.I highly recommend these high quality Audioengine speaker stands for anyone that is looking to add some sound clarity to any small bookshelf speakers or studio monitors. These speaker stands make a huge difference in the sound quality and performance of any small sized speaker, no matter what listening purpose the speakers are used for. Pick up a pair of these great Audioengine speaker stands today!

I purchased JBL Studio Monitors which are powered speakers, they are about 8 inches by a Foot and are somewhat heavy because they have a built in amplifier. These hold the weight fine and are really an improvement over not having them. I directs the sound more towards you ears, instead of at your chest. These are just metal machined parts, they are made well. Nothing active, no hinges. I highly recommend them.

These make the speakers and setup much better. Really is a must have for A5+ Setup. Great weight and build quality. Also. Speakers are much less prone to incidental movement on flat surface now that they are on these stands.

These arrived next day. Amazon is so fast. Packaging is excellent. The stands are exactly as described and of good quality including the heavy foam cushioning. I used these to tilt my audio interface in the home recording studio. It was nice to have 2 in the package as one at 15 degree tilt was OK for better viewing and access for cables but I actually staked then both together for closer to 25 to 30 degrees of tilt which is perfect. So these pads can be used for other applications as well as speaker tilt.
