Audiophile is a deep rabbit hole, and this is a must have if your an audiophile. Superb product. Heavier than expected, and that's a good thing! Provides nice sturdy platform while your vinyl is spinning. 600g = 1.5lb

50€ für einen Plattenbeschwerer, der nicht funktioniert. Der mittlere Bleiteil ist tiefer als das außen umliegende Gummi, weshalb das Gummi nicht das Label greift. Des Weiteren ist die Bohrung nicht tief genug, sodass das Gewicht nur bei dicken 180g vinyls funktioniert. Bin richtig enttäuscht

As mention in other comments, the rubber sits slightly above the metal area exposed at the center. Which renders the design kinda useless as rubber is never actually in contact with the record. And the metal can clearly scuff the label of your record since it's the only part touching, if you care about that. Seems to me like a manufacturing problem, and not by design. For a product that expensive, made in Japan, it's really mind boggling...Really, do not buy this.PS: To the other comment saying this is a feature, not a bug, in my opinion: they're wrong. First of all, it doesn't make any sense. Secondly, there's a picture of the profile of the weight on the box, essentially showing a perfect cross section, and the metal part doesn't stick out there.

This is a well designed and made weight. I don't know why there are a lot of complaints here about the rubber not making contact with the record. The rubber is there to protect the record from accidental contact with the edges, not for damping. That is what your platter mat is for. If anything you want the weight to directly contact the album to increase its apparent mass, not floating on rubber or felt feet. Attached is a photo showing how the rubber is clearly offset from the bottom surface (Canadian dime for reference). Enough of an offset to ensure the rubber does NOT contact the record, but small enough that you can not mark a label with it. The bottom is perfectly machined flat brass and lacquered black, (heavier than both aluminum and steel by volume). Designed by Audio-Technica and MADE in JAPAN, the gap is not in error.

Skulle säga att det borde vara obligatoriskt med en sån här till varje skivspelare. Skivan rör sig mindre och basen tajtas upp ordentligt.

Der Audio Technica Plattenbeschwerer funktioniert sehr gut.Mit ca 600 Gramm ist zwar schwer, aber mit einer komplett und dick aus Gummi überzogenem Korpusversehen, damit das herumhantieren mit dem guten Stück keine Schaden anrichten kann.Klang ist bei dem ohnehin einzigartigen Technics SL 1200 GR nicht wirklich anders, aber mit demEigengewicht von 600 Gramm rutscht die Platte sicherlich nicht unterm Nadel…Empfehlenswert, aber Vorsicht! Technics (Bürstenloser-Direkt Drive) erlaubt bis 1Kg so ein Artikel, andere Marken-Hersteller würdenaber bei dem Gewicht den Kugellager platt massieren…):

Den einen Stern gibts für das schicke Design. Ansonsten ist das Gewicht unbrauchbar, weil der Gummiüberzug nicht plan mit dem Metall Innenleben abschließt und somit nicht glatt auf der Schallplatte aufliegt.
