Ihr Warenkorb ist leerTipTopTemp, ein aufsteckbarer Grilltemperaturregler, verwandelt jeden Kugelgrill in einen Smoker. Der TipTopTemp hat eine Basis mit einem Durchmesser von 5 Zoll, eine zweite Stufe mit einem Durchmesser von 7,6 cm und ist etwa 7,6 cm hoch. I purchased an Akorn on sale at Lowe’s for $140. I have learned the nuances of the Akorn but it still takes adjusting the vents at times to maintain temps while doing long smokes. I was considering purchasing an Akorn Auto Kamado but saw this device and after reading reviews and watching videos of it I decided to purchase. It was shipped and delivered quickly. I purchased a 12lb brisket to smoke. After getting the charcoal to temp, I set the tip top temp to 225’ per instructions. I watched for 2 hours to make sure it was going to do as advertised. I put the brisket on at 10pm, watched it for some time and went to bed at 11:30pm. Woke the next morning at 6:40am, Akorn sitting at 240’, and brisket at 188’. The Akorn continued to cool down and after 12.5 hours brisket hit 203’ in the flat. The Tip top temp kept the Akorn between 220’ to 230’ most of the time and I suspect the 240 was due to a large lump being newly lit. Obviously I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an external heat maintenance device. No cords or batteries, just mechanical. Works amazingly well. Needless to say I will NOT be buying an Akorn Auto Kamado as the Tip Top Temp converts the original Akorn to an Auto Kamado. Again, Highly Recommend!!!

It works but it seemed as if the 2” ? Hole opening was not allowing enough air flow Before the temperature even got up and shut it, I had it on too big of a cooker probably work for something small

Besides the lack of directions, it's unstable can leaves much to be desired to secure it to a 6 inch stack.

I just got this to use on my Chargriller Akorn.Will be using it tomorrow with a Boston Butt.On first look the now 2 piece unit is slightly flawed. Once I put it together it does not seal entirely which will allow airflow around the damper. Fortunately I have high temp silicone and will use that to seal it up but the one piece unit seems like a better design to me.This should not be a deal breaker and I am looking forward to seeing how it does and will update my review afterwards.UPDATE:After using the tiptop temp control I am very impressed. It really exceeded my expectations in everyway and I changed my rating to a 5 star.My 1st cook was a Boston butt and this thing held temp for 11 hrs.You do need to find the correct setting for your smoker but that was simple.I didn't even use my DigiQ and probably never will again. This thing really works.Highly recommend it.
