Having worked with metal for a good part of my life in my opinion the V band bolt is a good grade of stainless, the V band itself is stainless but likely a poorer grade than 304, and the flanges are plated mild steel. Pic attached with rust test on small section where I filed the coating off.I think the listing details should be expanded to make this a bit clearer, as although under specification it does state "Material: Stainless steel and iron" the general implication is that all the parts are stainless.Aside from this the parts seem fairly solidly built. They self align pretty well, but rely on the clamp to do this and have a chamfered meeting face as opposed to a male/female inset to guarantee alignment.I'd say overall this flange is fine for 90% of applications, but if you're looking for the smoothest flow pipe run then there may be better options out there.

Not self aligning and a 3y old could strip these out. One time use threads. I only hope other brands clamps will work.

I personally do not care for the design. Most v band style clamps are self aligning (male side and a female side) The product description says that it is male female but both mating surfaces are flat. I attached pictures of the comparison of 3 styles for reference. The flange on the left is the flange being sold. The middle is a half of another style but I wanted to show the step. the right clamp is another style as well that has the step but not as pronounced. I would consider using this on a normal exhaust system but not for a turbo crossover pipe that will see backpressure . The clamp is also not as well built from what I've used. I attached a picture as well the clamp on the right in the picture is the one being sold. The clamp on the left is a comparison.
