Seems like a competent product so far. Funny thing, USB and HDMI connectors are upside down compared to conventional (does not affect function at all). Installed Ubuntu 24.04 without problems so far.

Ich habe das Teil für meinen Vater gekauft, er liest Mails, surft im Internet, schaut Youtube Videos und spielt ab und zu Solitär. Und dafür ist das Teil perfekt. Etwas größer als eine Zigarettenschachtel passt es überall hin, egal ob am Schreibtisch oder hinter dem Monitor. Windows 11 ist dabei, es muss nur noch eingerichtet werden. Zum Zocken ist es nur bedingt geeignet, dafür fehlt die Graphikpower aber für normale Bürotätigkeiten mehr als ausreichend.

Mini Pc für ein kleines Homelab.Hat genug Power für einige Dienste. Ich betreibe diese ganze Dienste:- proxmox- paperless- jellyfin- teddycloud- unifiUnd ein paar kleinere Dinge.Und gefühlt hat der Mini oh immer noch Luft nach oben.Ein kleiner Abzug da der Preis doch recht hoch ist

Der Mini PC funktioniert sehr gut, ich komme damit super zurecht, ich bin sehr zufrieden.

Unfortunately, SODIMM DDR4 memory modules are no longer produced by Crucial. I hope the current Samsung module will not disappointThe SSD module is made in China and is a bit slow. TBW is completely unknown.All in all it is OK

Wird mit einem falschen OS geliefert (irgendein Windows). Nachdem ein richtiges OS installiert ist, arbeitet das System absturzfrei und schnell.

J'avais choisi ce produit car il est bien marqué qu'il fonctionne sous linux. Je ne voulais pas de windows or il n'y a pas le choix d'avoir un compte microsoft pour configurer l'appareil

I bought this to try it out for home IT lab work. It would not make a good gaming machine, I don't think. But that's not its purpose. It would be great for an HTPC, and works well for the home lab idea, with a couple of caveats.Before even plugging it in, I decided to crack it open so I could image the M.2 drive inside. That way I can return to factory at any time. So you get a pic of the guts. As to be expected, not much in the way of expandability, though you do have an open 2.5" SATA bay and could replace the M.2 2280 (mine is a Phison branded) with a larger capacity if desired. Not sure if the RAM can be expanded (with full replacement of course) or not, BeeLink's site seems to indicate that 16GB is the max.In operation it's very quiet, even at full load, and the max load I saw it pull was 22W. Idle it stays under 10W.Windows ran seemingly fine, though I didn't keep it on there long. There's a regular BIOS entry, and you can DEL or F7 for BIOS or boot menu, respectively. AlmaLinux 9.2 installed fine, and the Ethernet worked, but not the wireless. This seems to be a known issue that this wireless chip is very new and the support hasn't made it to most kernels yet.The real torture test came when I tried to install ESXi 8.0. That would not find the wireless (not surprising, or even supported at all I think), nor would it find the Ethernet. So to get it installed I had to use a USB -> Ethernet adapter. Though then even the install fails at ~72%: ESXi is installed, but not configured. You have to reset, F2 log in with no password, and reset the network settings, then manually set it up to use the USB Ethernet adapter for management (and change your password!).Small, quiet, low power, fast enough, runs Windows, runs Linux (minus wireless unless you have a really new kernel), and even ESXi with some workaround and USB NIC addition. Very happy with this.

Dieses keksdosengroße Powerpäckchen ist ein Hit. Zu Haltbarkeit & Robustheit kann ich mich noch nicht äußern, weil ich den S12 pro Mini-PC erst seit Kurzem in Betrieb genommen habe, aber es wird jetzt schon deutlich, daß dieser Zwergrechner eine ganz hervorragende Leistung liefert & den Ansprüchen eines kleinen Büros umfänglich gerecht wird. Kleiner Makel höchstens, daß nicht jede Art von Peripherie ohne Einschränkung kompatibel ist - z.B. nicht alle externen DVD-RW-Laufwerke..
