Beko know the suppressor in their dryers is a problem as they changed the design but they do not publish the fact, so many may have chosen to go and buy a new dryer when theirs started tripping out.. I considered it before I did some research.This is the new design suppressor and is a direct replacement for the old one that leaks electrolyte and then shorts out resulting in fuses blowing and RCDs tripping.Replacement is very simple with the top cover removed and the old one released. The cables are one for one and the new suppressor screws back where the old one was. Took me very little time to do. If you do this repair, make sure the POWER IS OFF and cable UNPLUGGED. The suppressor is directly across the mains to the unit. If you have even the slightest doubt of your ability......DO NOT do this yourself, get a competent and qualified Electrician to do it for you.

This was very easy to fit into my Beko DSC85W dryer which, at 10 years old, had started to trip the house RCD sometimes, especially when it got warm. (The potting on the old part had become quite gooey). Saved me from buying a new dryer - great!

Although the item that arrived looked a bit different from the image shown it fitted perfectly and did the job.My tumble dryer had been tripping the electrics so after a bit of research tried changing this part and it now works fine yet again. Certainly saved me spending money on a new dryer.

Easy to replace with faulty 1 that caused elcb to trip.
