I'm familiar with pysanky and have made eggs this way before. I'm no where as adept as my Ukrainian aunts, but I still enjoy the process. This is an art form that takes time to develop, but just because your eggs don't look like the pictures of those done by people with a lifetime of experience, it doesn't make it any less fun! I have don't pysanky with my kids. They need some guidance and patience, but they enjoy it as well, making simple designs.This kit has the basic equipment and materials you need to get started. It comes packaged in a nice box, which is good for gift-giving (and storage). I'm impressed with the supplies provided, as you really do have what you need to get started all in one kit. Overall the price is about right for what you get. These are specialty materials.The instructions are very basic and I encourage folks to do more research on the process so they have a better experience. There are lots of videos and websites that will help make for a better experience than using the sparse instructions provided. Also, this is an art for with a lot of symbolism and history, which isn't really explained in the materials provides. I encourage user to take time to find galleries of pysanky eggs as references.The product description and instructions also refer the wax tools incorrectly. The tool used to apply wax is called a kistky. The wires are meant to clean the kistky if they get clogged. They have slightly different nozzle sizes so that you can adjust the width of the line of wax you apply, or so that you can fill large areas more easily. The instructions never explain the use of different colors of wax or warn that pysanky eggs are not meant to be eaten, as the dyes are not food safe. The provided instructions felt like they were written by someone who had never really done pysanky before, so I really encourage users to do some research for good results. I removed a star because of the instructions.So overall, a nice set that will being your family hours of fun and creativity. However, the instructions are substandard and you will need to do more research for good results.

Extremely happy with this kit. This kit had more parts and higher quality then another kit i had purchased, and it costt me less. extremally pleased

I'm very impressed, this is a well put together kit, very good value! Don't panic though, there are English instructions included! I don't know why I couldn't rate it with stars....if I could I would give it 10 stars.

Absolutely love this! My friend has a Ukrainian brand pysanky kit, and this is just as good! The dyes are awesome too - I’d suggest having jars ready if you’re looking to make the dyes once you get this kit.
