Bosch is a name synonymous with precision engineering, innovation, and reliability. Founded in 1886 by Robert Bosch in Stuttgart, Germany, the company has built a century-long legacy in producing high-quality power tools, automotive components, and industrial solutions.Bosch’s commitment to research and development, alongside its German engineering pedigree, has made it a go-to brand for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. The Bosch Professional (Blue) series is especially revered in the trade, consistently delivering power tools that combine durability with cutting-edge technology. My First Impressions: Heavy, robust, durable Impact WrenchThe Bosch GDS 18V-750 C is a cordless impact wrench designed for heavy-duty applications. It has impressive power while maintaining controllable usability. Straight out of the box, the tool has a solid, well-balanced feel with a robust casing that immediately signals durability. The rubberized grip provides excellent handling, ensuring comfort even during prolonged use.Performance and PowerAt the heart of the GDS 18V-750 C is Bosch’s ProCORE 18V technology, which maximizes battery efficiency and power output. Together with the brushless motor, it delivers a staggering 750 Nm of tightening torque and up to 1,200 Nm of breakaway, undo torque, easily enough for stubborn bolts. This makes it ideal and fully capable for automotive repairs, and heavy-duty construction tasks.During testing, this impact wrench made light work of my Range Rover wheel nuts, which had been power compressor attached by a garage.. The BITURBO Brushless technology ensures maximum power delivery when using ProCORE batteries, making it a strong competitor against some pneumatic wrenches.Smart Features and UsabilityOne standout feature is Bluetooth connectivity. While it may seem like a gimmick at first, the Bosch 360 Toolbox app allows customization of speed settings, precision control, and tracking of tool performance. The three-speed/power modes offer flexibility depending on the task—whether it’s delicate assembly work, impact masonry drilling, or full-force loosening of seized bolts. The performance is truly outstandingThe double LED work light is a practical addition, illuminating tight spaces effectively. The 1/2" square drive with friction ring and pin hole makes socket changes straightforward, ensuring efficiency on the job. I already had a 1/2 inch to 1/4 hex drive converter allowing me to quickly use many other attachments to this versatile device.Battery Life and EfficiencyIn keeping with these types of tools, the device arrives as a bare tool, without batteries. I could only afford an alternative Bosch battery, but I was able to get two hours of intensive work before needing a recharge. The brushless motor optimizes energy consumption, giving it an edge over brushed competitors. I understand that ProCORE batteries add to the weight, but they also provide the longevity needed for sustained, professional use.Durability and Build QualityBosch is known for rugged tools, and the GDS 18V-750 C is no exception. It features a high-impact housing that withstands job site conditions, while IP54 dust and water protection ensures reliability in harsh environments. This is truly a hard working 'contractor's' tool where durability and reliability are premium required features. My final opinion The Bosch GDS 18V-750 C is an outstanding cordless impact wrench that balances raw power, smart technology, and durability. It’s ideal for professionals in automotive repair, construction, and heavy-duty assembly, delivering pneumatic-level performance without an air compressor. While the price may be on the higher side, the build quality, torque output, and battery efficiency make it a worthy investment for those who demand the best.If you’re in the market for a reliable, heavy-duty cordless impact wrench, the Bosch GDS 18V-750 C is a powerhouse that won’t disappoint. I'm personally delighted with this tool, and strongly recommend it as a worthy investment, wether You're a busy contractor, or DIYer who wants to buy once and be happy with your purchase for a long time.

This is a beast of an impact wrench. Solid, durable and with enough torque to make light work of even the tightest of bolts. The trigger is responsive and the LED light and clip are handy. It's weighty piece of kit, something to keep in mind if you do a lot of overhead work. It has the expected clockwise/anticlockwise rotations plus 3 speed setting and 2 modes, one for sockets and one for wood screws. This is a standalone unit that doesn't come with the battery. It's also a Bosch blue unit which, compared to green that are made for occasional light use, is made for more frequent heavy duty use. This also means the battery comes at quite a cost and needs to be considered if you don't already own one. Overall if you need a heavy duty, high power workhorse then this will do it.
