This is an excellent mic to add to you collection - nice warm sound - not too crisp on the high end.with wind screen make the perfect balance to block any unwanted signal. I needed to replace $179 Rode VideomicThe BOYA BY-VM600 is rock solid construction build, noise-less mount, unlike others that would shake & bounce.I love this mic - Yes, I will buy 2 more of these little gems. - You should also.

Been using this for a few months now on a Canon SL3 and M6. It has been really great for the YouTube videos that I've been making and I find the low cut filter helps with done background nose from a freezer in my garage where I film. The sound quality, I believe, is on par with more expensive on-camera microphones, though I admit that I have not used others. I just can't justify the expense for those pricier models when this one is working fantastically already!

This mic seems to work quite well on both the internal battery and with 48 Volt Phantom power.Sounds great and fits the microphone mount on my Canon XF-400 camcorder nicely.Reasonably priced too!
