This was bought from work account. The biggest problem, that thermocouple is not insulated from casing/shielding. I guess reviews with wrong thermocouple readings are exactly caused by this. If you plan to attach thermocouple to non-insulating surface or plan to use multiple thermocouples attached to conductive casing (my case) - they wont work (max 31855 in this case reports warning that thermocouple is shorted to ground and temperature value is NaN (not a number)).So these thermocouples can only be used if it is one single thermocouple and amplifier is isolated from metal casing where you attach it (and casing will have potential from thermocouple amplifier and all interference will be cauht there also). Or if you use this thermocouples in isolated environment (bricks, concrete...) AND cables also insulated from each other.

Regulator temperatury PID ustawiony na 1200 stopni, przy temperaturze 1100 przestał pokazywać temperaturę. Tyle zostało czujnika. Nie polecam.

Used this thermocouple with an older Fluke thermometer to measure temperature of molten bronze when casting. Mounted it on a steel tube as a handle; tested it by dipping it into the crucible when the copper charge was about half melted; temperature observed was 1,981 degrees F, about two degrees lower than the textbook melting point of copper. Very good results for the cost. Only problem was the spring on the cable began to melt after a few seconds and the exposed part of the cable started to smoke (furnace burner was still at full blast). Second try went better after fashioning a quick thermal radiation shield with paper towel; the paper ignited but the probe was fine. Next time I'll try aluminum foil around that area. Maximum temperature I used it at was about 2,049 F. Nice long cable on it. Will buy another one.

It works great. I am building masonry stoves and i used it to measure temperatures up to 900*C. I bought two and I am very pleased about it.

Ich verwende den Fühler zum messen fürs Backen und Grillen gut geeignet.Die Genauigkeit ist schwer zu sagen im Vegleich zu anderen keine grosse Abweichungen bemerkbar.Lieferung/Preis sind I.O.Kauf-Empfehlung
