This is to replace a clogged catalytic muffler on a 2002 model year Briggs & Stratton 6 HP Intek OHV engine. Unfortunately, they no longer make the catalytic muffler for my engine, so I had to buy this regular muffler instead. I like the outlet direction as it points away from me when I run my mulching mower. it also seems to be a bit quieter as well.
