My old hydration pack still works great, but it gets in the way while I'm out mowing acres of lawn so I wanted something that was smaller and easier to maneuver. This one fits perfectly, is so short that it doesn't slide down between my back and the back of the riding mower seat, and it as a TOTALLY AWESOME handle for holding the water bag while I refill it. Best invention ever! (for hydration packs, I mean...)I don't know why the red version was so much less expensive than the other colors, but regardless, I'm very pleased. CamelBak makes good stuff.

Works well, but the design feels a bit anachronistic.The Camelback Adventure 8 is the same size and around the same weight, but a lot more versatile and useful, with better pocket organization especially the front “vest” design.If you’re a road biker, the length of this hydration pack is slightly too long so interferes with access to the rear pockets on road jerseys.
