Buena óptica y luminosa . Parece que usas un objetivo mayor . Muy ligeros para manejarlos sin fatiga .Los revestimientos hacen que la imagen sea algo más brillante que en mi Leica Trinovid 8x20 . Y sobre todo la estabilización hace que puedas ver pequeños detalles , cómodamente que se te pasarían desapercibidos. Como si llevaras un trípode siempre contigo . Muy recomendables .

Optics is quite good for the price: chromatic aberrations are visible but not too intrusive. Coma is low. Field of view is flat. Geometric distortions (pincushion) is fairly noticeable but, personally, I don't care much about pincushion.There is a noticeable veiling glare in spite of the front lens sitting deep inside the body and the surrounding plastics working like a hood. Looks like lens coating could be improved.Stabilization works very good for a handheld viewing, almost perfect. Sometimes, especially when looking on starts or moon, a very small image jitter appears. It almost looks like the binoculars go through very fast measure-adjust cycles to make a stable image. While noticeable, the jitter is small enough and definitely not distracting.All the above is true for the handheld imaging when image stabilizer compensates for a small shake. When shake becomes larger, such as in a moving vehicle or on a ship, the +/-0.9deg range limitation shows up and stabilization does not work. Other brands are able to compensate for a larger range and may be more suitable for that case.When image stabilization is off, there is a small rattling inside the body. Looks like the lens or something else is moving freely when not driven by motors. This rattling does not affect the image, in my experience.Focussing barrel is very smooth and accurate. The body has good ergonomics and easy to hold. Low weight helps too.All in all, I'd definitely recommend this binocular. Nothing is perfect but it has an attractive combination of price, optical quality, and stabilization.

I have absolutely no complaints about the excellent optical quality of this instrument, perhaps only the field of view could be wider, but I knew that. What is striking though, my unit rattled like crazy straight out of the box, the optical system has apparently, due to gyroscopic nature of the IS, loosened from its proper position and therefore it produced an awful unsharp image with strong chromatic aberrations. After switching on the IS, everything was immediately fixed and lasted for some time fine, even with IS off. Then the image produced was amazing. After some time and handling the binoculars normally, the optical system loosened and rattled again. The binoculars were literally unusable until the next time I have pressed the IS bottom. I have no idea if this is normal behavior for this model, or if only my particular unit was defective, but I had to return it the very next day. I am very disappointed, to say at least. I also have two other stabilized binoculars (10x42 IS L and 18x50 IS) that I am happy with, but this cannot absolutely be accepted for binoculars intended for travelling and hiking. I need light handy binoculars that work immediately as soon as I hold them to my eyes.

Ich bin Naturfotograf und kenne die Bildstabilisierung schon von Canons Objektiven.An dieser gibt es auch gar nichts auszusetzen. Stabilisiert wunderbar und zuverlässig.Aber das Fernglas ist weder Lichtstark noch ist der Zoom der Hit. Hier handelt es sich um ein Fernglas für Hobbyornitologen etc. Das ist nichts besonderes. Jedem Jäger der in Dämmerungen arbeitet rate ich dringend von der Linse ab.Man muss halt schon den Preis im Hinterkopf behalten. Dafür bekommt man TOP Linsen aus dem Jagdbereich die 10x mehr Licht durchlassen und besser auflösen.Ich wollte es probieren und war dankbar das ich es wieder zurückschicken konnte.Taugt für mich nicht wirklich. Einzig angenehm fand ich die Größe und Gewicht.

Bonne optique conçue par une marque renommée: image claire et précise, un grossissement qui n’est pas énorme mais me convient. La stabilisation est très agréable et la mise au point rapide et aisée (pas d’autofocus). Nécessite une pile (CR123A) qui n’offre pas une autonomie énorme, il est prudent d’en emporter une en réserve.

Nice binoculars, comfortable, not heavy, image stabbilization really makes a difference.Ideally, I would take a better zoom (x8 is too small and not enough in most cases), but I'm not sure if x10 will serve better, so I'm looking for x20+ now.

Las imagenes son de muy buena calidad. Las uso para los espectaculos (conciertos, musicales...) y la visita de iglesias, monumentos. La estabilización es espectacular. Pero es dificil de colocar los ojos : muchas "sombras que vuelan" cuando movemos los ojos.

Das 8*20 IS ist mein zweites Fernglas aus der Canon IS-Serie.Dieses hier ist eine Weiterentwicklung und hat 2 wirklich tolle neue Features:- sehr leichtes, gedrungenes, kompaktes Gehäuse, fast mit einem militärischen Touch- 5-Minuten-Stabilisierung:Bei meinem ersten IS wurde die Stabilisierung mittels Taste aktiviert, beim Loslassen deaktiviert. Bei diesem Gerät ist es intelligenter und praxisnaher gelöst. Kurzes Drücken aktiviert den Stabilisator für 5min. Wenn Sie auf der Taste drauf bleiben, wird die Stabilisierung deaktiviert, sobald Sie den Finger wegnehmen.Hervorragendes optisches Instrument!

Ich habe das Canon 8x20 IS nun schon seit 6 Monaten und bin sehr zufrieden. Das Fernglas ist recht leicht und lässt sich sehr gut in der Hand halten. Das Gehäuse ist aus einfacherem Kunststoff und wirkt erstmal nicht so hochwertig und stabil wie andere Ferngläser. Das Aha-Gefühl kommt aber, wenn man den Knopf für die Bildstabilisierung drückt. Das Bild steht dann wie festgenagelt. Und das hat zwei große Vorteile: Details sind viel besser erkennbar, und man kann länger und ermüdungsfreier beobachten. Die Qualität der Optik ist sehr gut, gegenüber meinem kleinen Leica 8x20 Trinovid muss es kaum zurückstecken. Die Bildstabilisierung ist ein großer Vorteil gegenüber nicht stabilisierten Ferngläser. Und meiner Meinung nach rechtfertigt die Stabilisierung sowie die Qualität der Optik den Preis.
